Ren has light brown eyes with flecks of hazel in it. His hair isn't styled at all - he just leaves it like the way it went when he woke up in the morning. Occasionally he'll fix his hair up, for example, a reaping. When he does style it up, it usually has a little poof at the front and the rest is flattened down. He has a distinct face, his cheekbones visible, but natural, not by starvation. When Ren laughs, he crunches up his face besides a little chuckle.

Ren is a bit short for his age, he's stopped growing and is 5'4" tall. He weighs in at about 160 pounds due to muscle, in which he gained from hauling heavy bags, boxes, and more to places there and back. He's really strong too, from all the work he does to support his family. Ren has a long scar running down his stomach to the tip of his waist.

Personality:

Ren is really sarcastic, and sometimes you can't even tell when he's using sarcasm. He's considered really funny. Sometimes, well, a lot of times he says sick-minded jokes which disgust the girls yet make the boys laugh a lot. Ren likes to joke around, a lot. Sometimes his jokes get him in trouble due to some of them being inappropriate jokes.

Ren has a really loose tongue, saying whatever is on his mind, private or not. He's also really passive, he often doesn't know what to say when someone asks him a question. He isn't really smart, mostly troubling in Arithmetic, English, and Social Studies. He doesn't get good grades, he often skips school to do jobs to support his family of 4, soon to be 5.

Ren has one passion, and that is dancing. Sometimes he street dances for money, not earning a lot because most of the population of District 12 is poor. Ren is really emotional, due to something that happened in the past.

History:

Ren's life began in a apothecary in the Seam on April 29th, on a storming, rainy day. His father said he could remember the beating of the rain down on the tin roof on the apothecary. Ren's family lived in a tiny house in the Seam. He was the first born of his family. His 16 year old sister, June (who was named after the month she was born in), came a few years later. Ren had trouble adjusting to the new family member but learned to love June. 5 years later, they discovered Ren's mother was pregnant yet again. Ren's father was barely around because he worked in the mines, along with a lot of other Seam people.

When Ren became old enough to work, he began doing small jobs for the people in District 12 who had more money. One day, when Ren thought it was safe, he snuck some food out of a home where he was supposed to be cleaning. The home owner caught him, and he was reported to the peacekeepers. Ren was whipped several times, and that's how he got the long scar running down his stomach. He has been careful not to respond to the temptations of stealing stuff again.

Ren, along with his other jobs, has been working in the mines occasionally, earning some money when he couldn't get anybody to hire him to do something. His family was starving, but Ren sometimes brought home something for them to eat from the money he earned. So they weren't starving entirely, unlike a lot of other Seam families.
