District 11: Gorthen Roxon

Hair Color: Deep Brown

Skin Color: Deep Tan

Eye Color: Dark Green

Height: 6 ft. 4 in.

Gorthen Roxon is a tall, and seemingly buff Young Man. His Hair is cut short, yet not in a buzz-cut style. His hair is completely untamable, and is just barely able to comb itself down, unless he uses water, and yet it always goes back to Crazy and Curly. His eyes are the color of Grass, that's just begun to bloom.

If one were to look at Gorthen, they would most likely look at him from the road near the Eastern Fields, where he always works, just a little bit away from his family's home. He heads out to the fields every day after school, except for Sundays, which he stays home and cares for his mother, spending as much time with her as he can. Gorthen spends every day out in the fields working, and never socializes, making him mostly unknown to all the other kids in District Eleven

Upon seeing Gorthen's usual brown, tattered, and dirt-covered clothes, one would just nod him off as one of the Hard-working Farmers who always has one pair of clothes like that. However, almost every single pair of Clothes he Owns looks like that, almost all patched with pieces of fabric, and all covered in crusted dirt, except for one pair of a brown suit-and-tie, which he absolutely can-not stand to wear.

The Loner

Gorthen's personality is basically Lonely and quiet. He's a Hard Worker who spends all his time by himself. He doesn't care for others, because he's been left to fend for himself, when his father died. He has a strangely blank personality for most of the time, unless someone angers or pesters him enough to make him mad.

He reads on occasion, though, so he's Not stupid. Brute strength and just a normal amount of knowledge are his skills. He's a highly determined individual who almost never gives up when he sticks his mind to something. Every day during lunch, he hurries home to check on his mother and see if she's alright, showing he cares deeply about his mother

Gorthen's only joy is working outside and farming. He has nothing to do when he gets home, but bring food and cook for his mother and care for her. going to school, and working for hours when not in school, he's exhausted every day

Gorthen, when he was born, was a small child. His Father, a hard-working farmer taught him in the ways of farming until he was ten. whenever he went to one of the Reapings, or watched the Hunger Games, He'd just sit there and watch, solemn eyes scanning the screen, although he'd be crying inside, sick to death at the torture they'd put the tributes through.

when Gorthen was at the age of Twelve, he signed up for his first Hunger Games, getting a Tessera for himself out of pure Hunger and Greed. His Father was furious at him and quickly left to do Farm-work, not caring that it was in the Rain. The Next morning, they realized that his Father had been killed by an unknown stranger, trying to get food from his Father's work. Furious, Gorthen never looked the same way again, always having a dark and blank look on his face. His Mother however, suffered deeply, and became bed-ridden with Grief and is still there to this day. She can take care of herself when she needs to, but Gorthen insists on helping her.

Now, every year during the Hunger Games, Gorthen always enters two Tesserae in his name in order to feed for himself and his Bed-ridden Mother. He spends the weekdays at School, and when it's released, he goes out to Work in his Father's Old Fields, almost always bringing in a little more food each year.
