[Appearance]

I have long, curly, chestnut hair. I like putting it up, but it tangles so easily. I have light skin, and a few very dim freckles on my face. There are a few body freckles on me, but not very many. I have chocolate brown eyes and medium-thickness eyebrows. I have long eyelashes. My lips are a light pink and I have a rather roundish face. I have bangs that dip over my eyebrows in a seperated fashion. I guess you could say my face looks rather cute.

I am 4'6 1/2" and weigh 69 pounds. I look much younger than I am, and that sometimes gets annoying. I don't like being treated like a baby.

I'm usually wearing a very old and moth-eaten shirt and rough cloth pants. My face is usually dirty, but at Reapings my mom cleans it up and makes me look better. A matter of fact, I look overall messy. Since my hair tangles so easily, it of course usually looks like a rat's nest. But I try and keep it brushed, and if I put my hair up it'll stay for longer. I have bruises all over, and the scars from being cut.

[Personality]

I'm very quiet, I hardly ever talk to anyone but my friends. I have a few phobias, and they really interfere with my life. I'm always thinking about them. I have eisoptrophobia, fear of mirrors, Scotophobia, fear of darkness, and Octophobia, fear of the figure 8. When I'm scared, my friend Deimos holds me, and I grip to his shirt. He's 17, and he's really brave. Of course, thats what I think of him. I have nine friends, and we all have our relationships with eachother. I don't usually smile or laugh, because it takes a lot to make me happy. Not that I'm picky, no, I'll take anything you offer me, I'm just a bit serious. I'm really scared of things, and sometimes even see them when they aren't really there. I hate darkness, and unlike Blaire I love it when stars light up the night sky. Darkness just makes me feel so vulnerable.

When I see mirrors, I imagine terrible monsters, and things on the 'other side.' The figure 8 makes me cry, I hate it. It's terrifying to think about. I think fast, and when I talk, I talk fast. I'm just fast. I run fast to, and my reflexes are very quick. Although I guess you could count that as bad because of my reaction to my fears. I'm also good at hiding, but my parents always seem to find me. No one else can find me though. Im very light on my feet, and am good at making myself move silently. I'm of mild intelligence, and know the basics of what I should.

I'm also very paranoid at times. It sometimes feels as though someone is after me, or that my reflection is trying to kill me. It's hard to not believe. It just feels so, queer. I'm also redundant when I'm nervous, and scratch my ear when I'm lying. I talk in my sleep, and the things I say enable most people to tell what I'm dreaming about. I bite my lip as well. When I'm suprised by a miror being shoved in my face, or the lights going out suddenly, I will either faint or cling to someone for dear life and lose my footing.

[History]

I was born to Vanessa and Mathew Kerwinus. Mine was an accidental birth, but my parents decided to make use of me. They kept me until I turned four, then they made me work for them. I had to clean the house, and they didn't give me any food, I had to find it myself. I spent many hungry nights in the dark, which eventually led to my fear of it. When I turned five, they attempted to keep me from school, but I still ended up going. I was happy for that, I could get away from them. Whenever I disobeyed them, they would punish me by cutting me. It was terrible, and on particular day my dad just slashed randomly an '8' on my stomache, and I didn't stop bleeding. It had hurt so badly. Ever since then I had been terrified of anything related to the figure 8.

When I was seven I became scared of mirrors because of scary stories from my mother. All she wanted to do was scare me. Scare me so badly I would never be able to live normally.

I remember a day in the square, when I was looking for some dropped food, I stood up and saw a sign with loops all over it. And you know what I saw? Thousands of eights. I screamed and ran far away, and then tucked myself into an alley corner. I relived it many times, because I could never avoid the sign. It's still there today, and it still scares me. Except now I have Deimos to hold me. When I turned eight was when I met Deimos. There was a big group of kids talking to eachother and I had screamed pretty loudly at the mirror I had encountered. They explained to me who they were, and I joined in with a group of kids who all had Phobias. It was Deimos who was the kindest, he was so protective and caring. Lucas, Alto and Him were like the leaders. They did a good job of keeping us in order. I thought of days with them as a wonderful escape from my parents.

Of course, there were always the days they caught me outside. Usually when I came home they'd be boiling mad, but a few times they caught me outside he house. Then they would be disgusting. Pretend they were worried about me and loved me "bunches" then take me home and beat me so bad I wouldn't be able to leave the house without support for a few days. I hate my life with them.

When I turned 11, a peacekeeper came to see us, but I never had the chance to tell him. They made sure I was sleeping! I wasn't awake until he was long gone, and I felt terrible. I got the idea to just go and find a peacekeeper, but they knew what I was going to do. I'm scared to tell now. They threatened to kill me. I don't want to die. Maybe I should add that to my list of fears.
