Family is forever ... It is the truth, even if a member is stolen away and placed in a different District for safe keeping. None of them realize it yet, but when Elodie Magpie from District 5 was Reaped and thrown into the 63rd Hunger Games, all their lives changed forever. Snatched away from her family at a very young age, the members of the Lark family believe her to be dead, buried in cemetery at the edge of the District. But that is what their mother wanted them to think. Instead, she was stolen away by The Corporation because mother Lark couldn't pay back what she owed them. After a funeral was held with an empty casket, the family grew to forget about their beloved member - after all, they were all very young when the accident occurred - and grew into the normal family like everyone else. Well, at least they look normal. But as everyone knows, every family has it's secrets. And as the family discovers the truth about their "dead" sister, all the secrets will begin to unravel. That is if they live long enough for others to hear their secrets ...

Laraine Lark - Female - 43 - [NPC] (Unless anyone wants her <3)

Mother of seven six, Laraine understands the hardships of being a single parent better than anyone. Married to a very powerful man, she thought she would never have to worry about money or the welfare of her children, but then, when she just found out she was pregnant with little Frytzon, her husband was found dead - murdered - in a back alley way, and she was forced to raise seven children all by herself. She worked for as long as she could, tried to put food on the table, her husband had left enough money for that for at least a little while. But eventually the money stopped coming and there was really only one place she could go to in order to keep her family alive. The Corporation. They gave her the money she needed and she knew that she would be able to pay it back later - she just knew she could. Having two sets of twins, The Corporation took full advantage. And when the time came to back the what she owed and she didn't have the money, some agent came by the house and just took Elodie away. They asked her if she would like another loan, but she knew better than to trust them now - they were not taking any more of her children away from her. So, Laraine struggled along, taking odd jobs and making easy cash any way she could until one day she met someone who wanted to help her. He could help, as long as she killed someone for him first. Sure she was skeptical, but he waved so much money in her face she couldn't refuse. And now she works as a bounty hunter, hopping from District to District, finding and killing people for the wealthy.

Astlee Lark - Male - 18 - [OPEN]
Astlee is the man of the house and makes all the money for the family to prove it. He may not be loud and boisterous like his younger brother Brishan, but he is still in charge when his mom is away on one of her "business trips." Working as a chimney sweep around the District and pretty much taking any odd job he can get to make an extra few bucks wasn't exactly how he had wanted his life to turn out, but what can he do when he has a family to care for? He is always taking full responsibility for his siblings faults and trouble they cause, is always giving up his plate of food at the dinner table, and won't allow any of them to work, knowing that it is his job to get enough money for food, not theirs. But even the strong, brave, and hard-working have their weak points, and Astlee is no exception. When he needs to think or fears he may cry in front of his younger siblings, he sneaks past the fence and off to an abandoned tree house that he found. And in it are tons of books. He reads all the time - mostly fiction - dreaming himself into the words, becoming the knight in shining armor or the shipmate or the slave or the alien, going to a place where anything is possible. Stories.

Brishan Lark - Male - 17 - [OPEN]
Pretty-boy Lark certainly knows what he is and uses it to his advantage as often as he can. With a body that every girl dreams of and a face like an angels, Brishan is always being followed around by a pack of pretty girls. He smiles pretty at them, winks, clicks his tongue at them, whistles approval, blows kisses at them, and even walks them home if they would like. But he doesn't date any of them. Because his deep dark secret is that he really doesn't like any of them - not like that anyway. His act is one that he knows he has to keep up or all hell will break loose. The only person he trusts with the secret of his sexuality is his twin sister Cecilia, and as of right now, he plans to tell no one else. He is very short-tempered and gets into arguments (usually with his brothers) quite often. He tends to do the opposite of what he is told. The only person he ever seems to care about at all is Cecilia, who is about the only person who can keep him in check.

Cecilia Lark - Female - 17 - [OPEN]
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. The word is always constantly spat in her face and she is beginning to think that it is the truth. After suffering from a seizure when she was younger, Cecilia has been suffering from anomic aphasia, a disorder that makes it extremely difficult to recall words or names. Ask her what she wants and you may have to struggle for a few minutes to understand that all she wants is a spoon to eat her breakfast with. Ask who she sat next to at lunch and she will only be able to describe what they looked like and not what their name actually was. She knows the answer to the question but she just can't think of the word. And as her frustration with herself grows, she is slowly beginning to stop speaking all together in the hopes that becoming a shy girl in the back of the room will be a better approach than actually trying to be understood. At first she tried to look on the bright side and stay positive, but after years of torment from her peers and even her family, she has sunk into a crippling depression. And the only one that even tries to listen to her anymore is her brother who she runs to when she feels she needs to say something. She also goes to a music store downtown to play the piano that sits there, letting the music music speak for her and not words.

Demetrios Lark - Male - 16 - [OPEN]
Like his name says, Demetrios certainly does have a green thumb. But instead of using his gardening skills to feed his family, he uses them for his own benefit. Just like his older brother, Demetrios sneaks off past the fence too. He has a secret garden hidden out in the woods where he grows and harvests a wide range of desirable plants such as: marijuana, tobacco, morning glory, salvia divinorum, and basically any type of plant that can get you high. He is an avid drug user himself, but tries hard to keep that hidden from his family who would disown him if they knew that he was keeping the money he gets from selling the stuff for himself. Being caught up in the drug business, he also buys and sells any kind of pills he can find to make an even bigger profit, and in turn, getting even more drugs. Turning into a sort of underground drug lord, Demetrios has already made a name for himself and made a considerable amount of enemies in the process as well. Many people are out to get him killed, but being a boy he still isn't able to comprehend the amount of danger he is in. He is the only one that knows what exactly his mom does on her "business trips" as he hears that she is the best in the business from many of his partners - and that she is out to get him next.

Evanna Lark - Female - 15 - [OPEN] - FC: Carmen Solomons
Quite the sadistic little thing, Evanna is in love with watching other peoples pain. The only Career of the family, Evanna is ruthless when it comes to dealing pain and humiliation. The crunch of bones, the smell of blood, the screams of agony, the weeping of those around her - it is all extremely sexy to her. It started with little fantasies and slowly grew into something larger as she got older and the urges became harder and harder to control. It started with killing squirrels and rabbits in the woods, beating up her siblings, even hurting herself worked for awhile - and then when she couldn't control her need to hurt others, she knew that Career training was the only way to make her obsession a little less obvious. But soon, the Career training wasn't enough either and the only fantasy that entered her head was the idea of killing someone. Short skirts and low-cut shirts easily got the attention of the boys around the District, and when she was able to lure them away to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the District, it was simple to play out her fantasies just as she had dreamed them without getting caught. Everyone has begun to notice the disappearances, but because they can't find any bodies or evidence of foul play, everyone is just assuming that they up and ran away from the District. But Evanna knows where the bodies are as it was done by her hand.

Frytzon Lark - Male - 13 - [OPEN]
Being the youngest Lark is certainly a chore, but somehow little Frytzon manages it with a grace that none of his older siblings have. High-spirited and always smiling, Frytzon loves his family with a ferocity that very few people can understand. He is the sticky glue that keeps the family together through rough times (which is all the time) and makes sure to put a smile on everyones face at least once everyday. His innocence is uplifting to everyone in the house, and everyone tries to keep him hidden and safe from the outside world. But all he really wants to do is adventure. Travel the globe, go to every District, meet new people - but being locked up at home certainly won't get him there. He knows that his siblings are only trying to keep him safe, but he sneaks out of the house anyway, exploring the entire District. From sewer drains, to hidden cabins, to creeks just outside the fence, Frytzon wants to discover it all. But as he begins to investigate his family, he finds that they all have their secrets. Some beyond terrifying.

Elodie Lark Magpie - Female - 15 - [Played by Arx!!] - BIO
Stolen away at a young age, Elodie doesn't and will most likely never realize that the memory she has of her mother leaving her at the orphanage is a bit off. She thinks she remembers a bit of her childhood, but really, all her aspirations of her past life are just little fantasies that of course a little orphaned girl would come up with.

Snatcher Agent - Gender - Age - [OPEN]
This plot requires a Snatcher Agent who was assigned to watch the Magpies and the Larks to make sure none of them uncovered the secret and that Laraine kept her mouth shut about it. But s/he slacked off when Elodie was Reaped, figuring the families would never come together now that the snatched child is off to die anyway. But as the families lives begin to intertwine, s/he will be under great pressure and do most anything to fix the problem before everything about The Corporation is uncovered. You can choose the name, age, gender and basically everything about them.[/size]





This plot is not first come, first serve. I have plot ideas already in mind and have a general idea of where this family should/will go, but your suggestions are much appreciated. NOTE: This plot will inevitably be colliding with the Magpie family plot, as the families get into a feud as to how/why Elodie was adopted by Urbane Magpie. And when I say feud I mean death, betrayal, love, sword fights in the street, more death, etc. taking place in both District 4, 5, and the open forest bewteen the two.
