Name: Iris Spark (Sparky)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 1
Appearance:
On almost every occasion, she finds a way to were a purple striped sweater that used to be her mom's. Though it now stretched out, faded, and ripped, it is the only link she has back to her mother. People call her chubby, but that doesn't mean a thing to her. She has more important things to think about than her weight, which is not even that bad for her height. Her hair is wavy and black, constantly up in a frizzy side ponytail. Somehow though, what ever she is doing, wearing, or saying gives off this unmistakable vibe that is both revealing and mysterious.
[/blockquote]Personality:
If Iris wants something, she usually finds a way to get it, but lately she hasn't wanted anything but her old brother back. The one thing she probably will never accomplish. Iris is a pretty negative person, but she isn't known for being angry. She keeps her thoughts as thoughts and never lets them show.
Iris is pretty sure that she will ever end up in the hunger games arena. Some career will end up volunteering, like every year. If by some chance she gets picked and nobody takes her place, she has a plan. She'll hang out with the careers. Maybe tell them Mason taught her how to fight, which wouldn't be a lie. He had shown her a few things when she was like 7, but it was doubtful she remembered any of it now. They would keep her safe through most of the games, but after that she would have no clue. [/blockquote]History:
Over an odd coarse of events over the next year, Julie finds out that Iris's father was also the father of her son Mason. It caused a 2 year long battle, that ended in them getting married. This was confusing for the now 4 year old Iris. She had no one to turn to except Mason, her half brother. Though he was only a year older he guided her through life. Well, up until he turned 8.
The smile on that little boy's face was the biggest one Iris had ever seen. Mason had been looking forward to this birthday for months. It was the day his parents finally agreed to let him go to career training. Iris was happy for him at first, before she learned what it would do to him. Over the next few years he changed drastically. He no longer helped her with her troubles or homework. He didn't even do his own homework. The training had taken over his life. He had made new friends and developed a whole life around it. Iris was once again alone, but this time no one had her back.
She slipped into a depression. One that she still hasn't gotten out of. Not only Mason, but her aunt is to Blame. Julie often cared more about Mason than Iris. When she got angry at Iris she would often tell her to be like her "real son." Her disconnect from her dad might also be to blame.

Appearance:
Iris. her name says it all. Her vibrant green eyes are her most noticeable feature. Everything about her becomes irrelevant when you stare at them long enough. Her pure, pale skin can bring them out even more. She is rather clumsy, but she can blame that on her height. Standing almost 6 feet tall, she has been the tallest one in her family since she was 13.

You may look at a girl like Iris and assume she is shy or antisocial. Most of the time you would be right. Iris is different though. She isn't scared of people, they just make her mad. She chooses not to speak to people for one reason or another. They might not be the most logical reasons, but they sound good in her head. For example, she won't talk to anyone even close to resembling her brother or Aunt. She does have friends, or at least she used to. Her constant daydreaming has pushed them away.[/color]

[/blockquote]History:
Iris was born on an early spring day, just before the flowers began to bloom. Her mother was home all the time to look after her while her father was busy fishing. She assumed that was why she still has little relationship with him. One year later, almost to the day, her mom became sick. Her worried aunt Julie took Iris away, so she wouldn't catch the illness. In less than a month she died and Iris became Julie's daughter full time.[/color]
