Jean Maisley-Wanderer-(Finished)

Jean is thinner than healthy, due to the fact that she has to fend for herself. She inherits her bright auburn hair from her mother, and her hazel eyes from her father. Her skin is a pale color and her lips, rosy pink. She is 5'2 and looks younger than her actual age, 16.

Her hair drapes, just covering her shoulder blades. Her dark, thin eyebrows and long, thick lashes pop her eyes, making that the first thing you see. She is beautiful, which she knows she takes from her mother, but who cares in the Country of Panem?

Jean used to be a sweet and loud girl, but now she's changed. She is stubborn and likes the loneliness that swallows her. Having to take care of herself, Jean has adapted to responsibility. She does whatever's necessary to survive. She trusts no one.

She refuses to listen to anybody, not that there's anybody to listen to on the outskirts. She hides her true feelings, her sadness, to appear strong. Inside, though, she wants to kill the Capitol. She will do anything to watch all the citizens in the Capitol burn down in flames.

Jean kills anyone animal in her path, merciless. In her eyes it's just food. She never lets any of it go to wast though, she sleeps on the fur. eats the meat, and sharpens the bones for weapons. She thinks nothing should go to waste, not when you can use it. Not it her world.

Jean once lived in District 9. She was an only child who had no worries. No worries of the Reaping, or of not getting food on the table, or of getting pushed around. Her father and mother knew how to get food. They had good connections with the peacekeepers, most of them. One day Jean came home from school, but her parents weren't home. Hearing a crowd in the square, Jean ran and found her parents, being executed by a new peacekeeper.

Jean was 12 and frightened, she didn't know her parents hunted along with their jobs at the factory. She just fled the scene and jumped through the fence, into the woods. She ran until she couldn't anymore and cried while sitting on a tree stump. She was lost and scared, and a hand touched her arm.

Soon, she calmed herself and came to realization. Jean taught herself to hunt and fish. The only thing she stayed away from were plants, since she was a stranger to them. She traveled until she decided to settle. She knew she had to do anything to survive.
