Mackenzie Renee avox (finished!)

If you look into Mackenzie's face you see noting. Not the light that used to shine in her pale green eyes. You can't see her flaming red hair and beautiful blonde highlights. Instead you see a greasy dull orange. She doesn't smile or laugh. All that you see is nothing.

Mackenzie is really 5"9, but she slouches. Her teeth are strait but have a yellow tinge to them. She also smells a little like dish soap. What really catches someone's eye is when she opens her mouth. You don't hear her voice that sounds like bells. You hear nothing. You look inside and you see nothing.

Mackenzie used to be the best big sister anyone would want, on the outside. She watched over her Sister Bella from the time she woke up, to the time she went to bed. They played in the meadows and cotton fields. She taught her the lessons that a mother would teach a daughter. After she tucked little Bella in to bed, things changed.

She put on her dad's black jacket And a black hat to cover her hair. She met up with her friends in an ally and off they went. Deep down all those smiles were fake. It was all just a lie to help her little sis. They did different thing each night. It was rare they did something legal.

All of that is gone now. She can't even fake being happy. She knows what she was doing is wrong, but she doesn't regret it. This way Bella will never know what really happened. She'll never know the truth.

She was born, thinking she would be an only child. She acted like most babies do. Crying, playing, and sleeping. When she started school, she became pretty popular. They all liked the purple bow in her hair. Her mother made it for her on her first birthday. The yellow trim soon turned brown, but she wouldn't take it off.

When she was 5 Bella was born. At first she thought it was a baby doll. When she was done "playing" with her, she dropped the baby on the floor. Bella didn't land on her head but McKenzie felt guilty. She promised to never let Bella get hurt.

Mackenzie was 14 when things started to change for her. She lost interest in school and sewing. She was walking down the street when she saw a group of kids in an ally. She asked what they were doing. One of them said they were robbing a house. Mackenzie asked if she could join them and she was hooked. She would meet with them in the ally every night and decide what to do. Sometimes they had party's, other times they would cross the fence and scare each other in the woods. They're favorite activity was to rob people. She even took a scruffy little dog named Daisy out a house and gave it to Bella as a present. One day they would go a little too far.

She kissed Bella goodnight. "Goodnight Kenzie" Bella told her. She got in all black and got out the door. They met at a peacekeepers house. "You can do the honors." One said. Mackenzie snuck through the open window and opened the door for the rest of them. They stole some jewelry and left.

The next day she was out in the meadow with Bella, walking Daisy. Out of no wear a peacekeeper walked out of the forest and grabbed her arm. She let go of the leash without hesitation. Bella wouldn't notice if she made a quiet exit. She through her bow on the ground to say goodbye and she was off to the capitol they poked a small needle in her back and she fell asleep.

When she woke up she was strapped down to a bed. She was in an empty room with bright lights. A doctor walked in and injected one more needle. She woke up again in the same room. She had a pretty good feeling she was an avox. Her new her suspicions were right when she tried to talk. It sounded more like a grunt than words. She realized she wasn't strapped down and she looked at her reflection in the metallic walls. She opened her mouth and only saw teeth.

She was trying to stay calm, but she couldn't. She would have screamed, if she could. She got sent away to be sold. She went through 6 families before the one she has now. Most of them treated her like paper, like a slave, or like she didn't even exist.

For the moment she is in a nicer family. The mother is the life of the party. Mackenzie often has to clean them up. The father works all day and is very cranky in the after noon. They also have 5 kids. The oldest one is 7 and the youngest one is 2. The youngest one calls her Kenzie just like Bella used to do. She really doesn't want to see Bella ever again because the only time she would get to see her was if she got reaped. That would mean she would have broken her promise. The one bad thing she had never done.

I made her sister a while ago. I thought this would answer what happened to her.
