Venetian Phantomhive, District 11 [wip]

Venetian is extremely small, standing four feet, four inches. There is not much hope for that measurement increasing, as she both comes from rather short stock and has remained at this height for several years. Though her weight shifts with the seasons, it usually sticks to numbers in the lower eighties. Venetian's body is more boyish than most girls her age. Her near-flat chest, lack of curves, short height, and pretty face lead most to mistake her for a very cute prepubescent boy.

Her face is a plain oval, nothing special. Her eyes are large and round. A close look reveals the right as larger than the left. The irises are dark green. The eyelids are fringed with long, but not necessarily thick, dark eyelashes. Venetian's eyebrows are long and a tad bushy. Her mother and sisters have tried to get her to pluck them, but Venetian has a problem with grooming beyond baths. She has a long, narrow nose. It's noticeably crooked due to her falling out of a tree a few years ago. This same fall broke her front top & bottom teeth into mere stubs and busted her bottom lip, leaving her with a small scar there. She understandbly doesn't like to smile.

Venetian, or Veve as some call her, was born with fairly dark hair. It has lightened to a pretty soft brown since she started working in the orchards. Just because she works in the shade doesn't mean that the girl didn't get some considerable sun exposure! Her hair is rather coarse and extremely thick. The shoulder-length ends tend to be rather rough-looking, but it is very rarely, if ever, greasy. Venetian isn't terribly dirty or smelly unless you catch her after a day in the orchard. Though she may hate any other form of grooming, Veve refuses to go without a quick bath when she can manage it.

Though she isn't a young child, Venetian is sort of stuck in that size range. This means that she still gets sent into the trees to pick the highest-up fruits. Years of high climbing have given her rather muscular arms and shoulders. They're of no use in a fight, of course. Venetian has never had to really defend herself before and no one has ever seen the need to teach her. Her stomach is fairly flat; her line of work and not-exactly-fattening diet make it hard for it to swell too terribly much. Venetian's legs aren't too shabby either, thanks to a love of racing with her siblings. Running in general, really. This, coupled with a strong disdain for shoes, has left her short, broad feet dry, calloused, and cracked.

Venetian has what you'd call a farmer's tan. Her face, neck, and forearms are tanned but her torso and legs are almost ghostly in comparison. The tanned portions of her body bear a light sprinkling of freckles. Most of these will lighten and almost disappear if not exposed to the sun. Those across her nose and cheeks, however, are darker. Venetian was born with these and will likely never lose them.

Venetian, like many people in the poorer districts, loves her family. They are her everything. It is to them she runs when she needs something, be it advice or a shoulder to cry on. She does her best to do the same, but, being a young teenager, isn't exactly skilled at aiding others with their emotional burdens. Though she has a few friends in D11, Venetian would much rather stay at home with her parents and siblings.
