Destiny Carter - District 6

Destiny has always been extremely tall, a full head taller than all of the girls in her class at school. She is about 5'9. No matter how much she eats, she can never gain any weight. As a result, she is extremely tall and lanky, with no figure. She has long dark hair and a tan complexion.

Aside from height, Destiny is what you could consider a late bloomer. She has absolutely no figure, and she has a baby face. She is very insecure about her looks, because most boys won't pay her attention because she is so tall. She isn't exactly ugly, just very misproportioned. She hates how she looks.

Destiny has always had trouble with her surroundings. She doesn't have very many friends, despite her efforts. It's not necessarily that people don't like her, it's just that she usually is the quiet shy girl in the corner. She has grown used to it, though. She doesn't really have to have friends. But oh how she wants them..

Destiny is obsessed with fitness. Although she is much to skinny to worry about any kind of weight problem, she is constantly running to try and stay fit. She loves running. Every day after school she goes running through District 6 all the way home. It's become her greatest stress reliever. Every time she gets sad or mad, she just runs. For a very long time.

Destiny, like many District 6 teens, is afraid of the Games. She knows that District 6 is weak in the Games. She watches it every year, and roots her home District on, just to see their tributes fall year after year. This is actually what spawned her interest for fitness. She can't be strong, and there isn't a Career Gym in District 6. But she can outlast everyone with stamina. Just like she outlasts her problems at home. She ignores them until they go away.

Destiny is your average District 6 teenager. Her father works at the College. Her mother runs a small family practice to treat minor illnesses. They aren't really rich, but they have never had to struggle either. She is the only child of the family, something that she is happy about. She doesn't like sharing.

She is so spoiled by her parents. They spend every dime that they can afford to on her. Often, she comes to expect it of them. She gets very upset when her favorite foods aren't in the fridge and she doesn't get to buy the newest clothes. After all, in her eyes, she has been good. She's tried her best. So she deserves it.

Destiny has a very low self esteem, not only due to the way she looks, but also to her intellect. She had the misfortune of being a girl with average intellect born into a district with superior intellect. She's struggled in school since her first day. She isn't very smart, so she's never been able to keep up with other District 6 kids. She often gets very jealous of them because of this.
