Name: Julian Scott
Age: 18
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 7
Appearance:
According to his mother, Julian is the textbook definition tall, dark, and handsome. He is just over six feet tall. He is lean, and muscular, nothing really special about his body type. He has big clumsy hands, but you don’t really need to be deft with your hands when all you do is swing an axe. He has eyes the color of storm clouds, with just as much emotion behind them. His hair is dark brown, but can appear red or black depending on the amount of sunlight. He has a flawless swarthy complexion, perpetually tan from spending so much time outdoors.
He has a long, angular face. He has a strong jaw, ending in a pointy chin with a slight cleft in it. He has a largish nose, only noticeable when looking at his profile. It sticks out like a right triangle on his face. He has a small crescent shaped scare on his left check, compliments of a Doberman attack. It isn’t every obvious, however, it only appears when he smiles. He has a chipped front tooth from a fight he got in when he was 14.
Personality:
Julian fiercely independent, he is perfectly fine with being on his own. He is by no means a social butterfly. He has very few friends, which suits him fine. He’d rather have two or three really good friends, instead of a group of acquaintances. He is never the center of attention, and he never wants to be. He likes to hang back and observe. He is a very reserved person in social situations were there are many people, but when he is together with a few close friends, he can cut loose and have a good time.
Julian is deeply sensitive and easily moved by his emotions. His sensitivity, together with a propensity for extreme likes and dislikes make him easily hurt, quick to detect insult or injury to himself, and easily aroused to ferocious anger. This may express itself in such destructive speech or action that he makes lifelong enemies by his outspokenness, for he finds it difficult not to be overly critical of anything or anyone to whom he takes a dislike to.
Julian can be overly possessive and jealous. He does not like anyone touching what he perceives as his. He takes stubbornness to a whole new level, refusing to hear any ideas that oppose his own. He knows how to manipulate, or as he likes to look at it, persuade others into doing things for him, or seeing things his way. He always has an ulterior motive for his actions.
He hates flattery. He won’t compliment anyone, and he will be suspicious to anyone who throws him one, thinking that they want something from him. He does not believe there is anything redeemable about himself, so he won’t believe the compliment anyway. He isn’t only cynical about himself, but of pretty much everything. He is a pessimist at heart.
Despite all this, Julian can come across as a nice guy. He is fiercely loyal to those who have proven themselves to him. He is witty, even though he has a questionable sense of humor, and can be charming when he wants. He is very creative; he can draw, whittle, and build. He loves to make things with his hands.
History:
Julian grew up in the shadow of his four older siblings. He is used to not getting all the attention or any attention at all for that matter. He can hardly compete with them anyway, especially the oldest, Ander, who won the Hunger Games way back when. However, Julian is not the youngest of his siblings. He has four younger siblings too, and a fifth one on the way. So Julian is thoroughly the middle child, who receives no recognition, what so ever, and is free to do anything he wishes.
Ander, and the second oldest already left home, leaving seven children in the house; a rather big manor house, way out hidden in the forest, away from the rest of the district. Julian’s father owns a paper mill, which is how they can afford so many children. The children are spoiled, and have never had to starve a day in their life. They were home schooled, so none of them have very many friends outside of each other.
No one really pay much attention to Julian. He often disappears during the day, without anyone noticing. He goes to work as a woodcutter. He hates living with his family, and is saving up his own money, so he can buy his own house, and acquire his own wealth. He does not want to relay on his father’s money.
