Kaleb Jones - District 7

Standing at around 5'10, 140 pounds, Kaleb is a pretty fit guy. As a matter of fact, he loves long distance running. He gets up every morning before sunrise and runs 6 miles. He has a nice complexion from working in the sun all day, and has long, dark hair and dark brown eyes. Most would say that he is attractive.

Although he is not vain, he does his best to keep his looks in order. Whenever he goes out, his hair is neat, and his clothes are always nice, at least by District 7 standards. He has toned muscles that show his strength, without being too large and overdone. He has a large scar above his left eye that he was given by a co-worker that swung an axe a little too far back at work one day. He does his best to cover it up with his long hair though.

Kaleb is an outgoing guy who is somewhat popular at school with everyone. He loves sports and games. Unfortunately, he has to work so his entertainment time is limited. No matter how much hard wokr he has to put in, he still is in love with his life. He could never be happier.

Although he is not a bad guy, he definitely loves to indulge. He loves alcohol, and ocassionally does morphling as well. It helps him relax. There's nothing like coming home from hours of school and work to an ice cold beer in the fridge. His parents have never seemed to mind.

For his entire life, he's always had an eye on his best friend and neighbor, Star. Although not particularly beautiful, it was Star's carefree personality and extremely high intellect that Kaleb found attractive. Although he will probably never tell her, and nothing will ever come of it, he can't imagine his life without her. They've known each other from an extremely early age, and they always gather together to watch the Games. He refuses to believe that it's love. That just isn't possible.

Kaleb's family has never had a lot. They aren't dirt poor, necessarily, but they have to work very hard to have things. And that is exactly what Kaleb does. He works every day after school until ten o'clock so he can have nice things. His parents let him keep every dollar he makes. So he has always enjoyed buying nice clothes and things. He was also able to buy a TV this way.

Kaleb, like his best friend Star, has always had an affinity for the Hunger Games. His favorite victor is Mace Emberstatt, victor of the 59th games. He views Mace as a role model, a lot like himself, and he gives Kaleb the hope of Games victory. If Kaleb were reaped, he thinks he could win, with the right amount of luck of course. However, he wouldn't volunteer. Besides, he's almost done with that business. Two more reapings left.

Kaleb works a few miles down the road from his house, cutting trees for the lumber industry that District 7 is known so well for. He absolutely hates the work. It's very hard, and it gave him the grotesque scar he will most likely have for the rest of his life. However, it is tolerable. He understands that it is necessary for survival. He can't stand the unemployed jackasses that live off of others. He will never be like that. He has too many morals.
