Nessa used to be a brown hair, brown eyed beauty back in District 3. When she was taken to become an Avox she began to lose weight and lost the beautiful smile that she used to have. Her eyes have lost the sparkle that they had when she was living back with her family. Now her brown hair hangs limply around her face and her face is expressionless as she waits on the Capitol.

Nessa used to be 5'6" and 150 lbs and a healthy and fairly fit person. Since she has become an Avox she has lost much of that nutrition and is now only 110 lbs and a very unhealthy person. Her skin that used to be healthy looking has become extremely pale.

Personality:

Nessa is obviously a very quiet girl due to the fact that she is an Avox and no longer has the ability to speak. But before Nessa became an avox she was a flamboyant outgoing girl who didn't care what anyone else thought of her and that was what lead her into a bunch of trouble. Nessa was always talking in her previous life but now she is left as a silent Avox and that doesn't suit her very well. She is no longer the smiling person she used to be but a somber depressed Avox.

Back in her old life Nessa was always out there looking for new friends to make which lead her to Alyssa which then lead her to rebelling against the capitol and running away from home. Nessa didn't care at all what others thought of her, she just went off and did what she wanted and only what she wanted.

When Nessa was caught she lost her voice, quite literally and was changed completely. She could no longer talk nonstop which she did all the time and was taken away from her family. This left Nessa with depression having to wait on tributes and all the other stuff required of an Avox. The first few weeks she kept on trying to talk, but nothing would happen and it left her mad at the world.

History:

Nessa grew up in District 3 as the youngest of four children, Amy, Mariah, and Christopher. Their parents Leah and James worked 12 hours a day and left the children to fend for themselves. When Christopher turned 18, and Nessa was 6, he married of to a wealthier girl and the families life began to steadily improve, and Nessa began to grow up with a better life.

Since Christopher was married off when Nessa was still young, she still had time to become a fun loving healthy girl. Nessa loved to go to school and flirt with all of the guys there and make friends with all of the girls. She was known to be popular and stayed that way because of her personality, not because her brother married someone good.

When Nessa was 15 she met Alyssa Crine who hated the Capitol and convinced Nessa that the Capitol was bad and that they should rebel. Alyssa had heard rumors of other rebels and convinced Nessa to run away with her. They were on the run for three months before a Capitol hovercraft caught up with them and took them back to the Capitol, after weeks of interrogation they were finally turned into Avoxes and never saw each other again. Ever since Nessa has been working at the Capitol.
