APPEARANCE
Rachel is a tall, blonde, skinny girl. She has blue eyes and she seemed rather attractive to most people before she became an Avox. She has the look of a typical District 3 girl her age, seeing as though that is where she is originally from. She wishes she could be dressed by the stylists in the capitol, because she admires how they dress. She has very nimble fingers and strong legs.
Rachel has a scar on her right cheeck from being whipped when she tried to resist Peacekeepers, causing her to be an Avox. She is rather quick. She used to do gymnastics which she hoped would help her if she ever got the chance to be in the games, which, of course, can't happen now that she is an Avox. She has very poor hearing in her left ear. Her ear had been whipped as well.

PERSONALITY
Rachel was very talkitive before she became an Avox. Of course now, she can't speak at all. Rachel is very smart, but has her moments of major rage and is easily angered. This causes not very many people to be fond of her, even as an Avox. She can tend to get what seems like an evil glare in her eye sometimes.
She is very cautious and likes to try to anger the tributes she meets as an Avox. She sneaks around, often watching them and attempting to get some decent food from them. Rachel actually somewhat prefers her life as an Avox over her original life, only because no one can annoy her by talking to her unless they are giving her an order. She is annoyed easily by that though, as well.
She is not afraid to stand in the way if someone she knows is threatened, even if it means another whipping. Or a beating. Rachel always loved her family even though no more of it remains except for her cousins, one of them being Blaire Kaplan. Her dearest hope is that she never has to see them die. She would do whatever she could to keep them alive.

HISTORY
Rachel was turned into an Avox at age 15. Her cousin Blaire was only 13 at the time. Rachel decided she would do whatever she could to keep Blaire out of the games. Now that Rachel is an Avox, her years of 'training' were wasted. She despised seeing all the tributes die in her past.
Rachel was turned into an Avox because she interfered with the Peacekeepers during the punishment of a factory worker in District 3. She was whipped across the face but continued to resist. She was taken and turned into an Avox. She is not sure if Blaire even remembers her now that she is an Avox and has been gone for two years. She dearly hopes she remembers.
Rachel is basically treated like a slave in the capitol now. Having to clean up after the tributes, watching the games and seeing innocent people slaughter one another. She finds this the worst thing in the Capitol. She misses home. She knows she will never go back.
