Appearance:
Jamilla is young woman of a small physique. She weighs one hundred ten pounds and stands at five foot two inches. She doesn’t have much fat on her even after having her baby girl. She has a round face shape. She has olive shaped brown eyes.Personality:
She has beige skin that tans very easily. She never gets oily skin and rarely shows signs of stress in the way she appears. She doesn’t get blemishes that often but her skin does get rather dry quickly. She has straight black hair though it does curl up if she is in wind a lot or sleeps on it wet.
She has more a simple fashion style. She is more conservative when it comes to dressing. She has some more expensive jewellery and one traditional dress that had been passed down from generation to generation even before Panem existed. She has one jacket that she adores, that had belonged to her grandfather. She wears it all the time even though it is several sizes too big and is nearly down to her knees. Her father’s side was much taller than her mom’s side for some reason.
Jamilla is very driven and dedicated to her work. She spends hours working on one skill unstill she has mastered it or nearly mastered it. She is also extremely disciplined, she does not stop until her work is done and settles for nothing less than perfect in her work. She has never indulged in sweets or anything too ‘rich’ for her. If she can’t get something that she wants to a nearly perfect stage she becomes obsessive and overall not too pleasant to deal with. She does not get along with people that lack self-discipline. She holds very strong views and stick to them. She values a lot on ancient traditions her family has clung to. She also has a big heart that often gets hurt. She adores the people she holds close and will do anything to protect them. Even take a life if it came to it.History:
She is a very guarded person since her ex-husband cheated on her. She is scared to let in another man, she doesn’t want to find anyone that could hurt her baby girl. She’s also scared of being hurt again. But let hates being alone. She finds herself fighting with herself over fear and reason. She knows deep down fate will have its way of working into her life. She lives her romantic life a lot up to the God her mother had taught her about. She never doubts her God, only questions.
She is also very precise with her work. She is very much a perfectionist. She does have a small level of OCD when it comes to carving. She has a tendency to obsess over new skills. Writing, reading, drawing, painting, carving, cooking, building and even card games. It annoys some people. A few people have told her she comes off as egocentric though she isn’t like that at all. She is just obsessed with making her daughter’s life better by working her butt off to make the most amount of money as possible.
Jamilla grew up in a family that had a decent lifestyle. Her father was known architect, he was very busy and had no time for Jamilla as a child. Her mother was known for her carvings, she made statues and furniture. She was an only child, her parents fought a lot over having more children. She was a very happy child that got along with everyone and was very sweet, innocent and fair.Codeword: oDair
When she turned eight years old her life changed a lot in a short period of time. Her mother had fallen into a deep depression after her youngest aunt had died, it was a sudden unexplained death that never sat well with Jamilla. Her father obsessed with teaching her how to work an axe, he’d always mumble things about he won’t have any child of his dying late at night when he drunk. She always knew that it was all connected to what happened to her aunt, whatever had happened. By the time she was ten she did some work in the lumber fields, small lightweight children work the best for cutting off limbs far up in the tree that could be a hazard when they cut the tree down.
Her preteen and teen years were filled with a lot of stress and worry. She was always fearful her friends or herself would be reaped. Which nether ever happen. She knew how lucky she was. The memories of the wailing mothers had been itched into her mind forever. She was sixteen when her mother died. Jamilla always had always known her mother killed herself but she let her father believe it was an accident.
She was only seventeen when she fell deeply in love with a boy. She was certain he was the one. Their love was unbreakable. She ignored the fact he was rude and hot-tempered. She was blinded by love. She shortly ended up pregnant, her father was furious and threatened to kill the baby. She hastily married the baby’s father in order to get away from her own father. She had bouncing baby girl named, Aisha. Shortly after she turned eighteen she caught the now man, she was certain was the one, cheating on her. She kicked him out. She took over the carving business that had been left untouched since her mother passed away. She promised to herself she would give her daughter the best life she could. With or without a man.
