Charles "Charlie" J. Czolgosz
Male
17
District 11
"I am a terrifying and imposing figure!"
Charles, known by most as Charlie, tends to change day to day. No, his features don't change but the way he holds himself, the way his hair is done- but most specifically the look in his eyes changes. Most days it carries the kind of glazed, bored look of a an overworked teenager. When he's "normal" like that, his face usually has more color, his muscles are relaxed, and his hair lays limply. We've hurried into the details too quickly, the basics come first. Baby steps.
Charlie's face is longer than average, of course average is so different for so many different people it is hard to use that as a measurement, but for sack of argument the word "average" will be used just to make things simple. Anyway, his face is longer, the turns at his jaw dully, coming around and completing at his chin, which holds a prominent dimple in it. His eyebrows are straight, running right over his eye as if his creator was in a hurry and didn't want to spend all that much time on curving the brows. His height is well over six feet, but with his slight frame and usual hunched posture you don't seem him as tall, or a threat. Well that is until he gets into the moods. When in the "moods" Charlie stands up straight, confident, as apposed to his normal mousy, shy stance. His hair, which always keeps its darker-blond-touch-of-red color, changes styles. When he's just Charlie during an average day it seems to be longer from being combed back and actually cared for, but when that darker character shows he loses all concern for his appearance. Charlie's hair would get ruffled, either by his one hand or by a relentless wind, causing it stick out everywhere. However whatever personality is wearing the hair it is always greasy and carrying bits of scalp. Along with his hair and posture, his eyes change. Sure they keep their light blue coloration but they have an actual feeling behind them when he is this other person. He looks older and limitless, like whatever he wants he is going to get one way or another.
Let's get back on track, his weight hovered in the hundreds: under weight. His nose has a little dent in it, causing it to go out a little further on his left and his entire body is scattered with moles. Charlie has dark circles under his eyes from losing sleep to Charles. His arms and legs are covered in hair a few shades lighter than the greased up version on the top of his head. He has the beginnings of a beard on his chin and his sideburns come down past the bottom of his ear and are kept that way mostly because he gets very few haircuts. His forehead is on the larger side and for someone of his age, he has way to many wrinkles.
Charlie's smiles are hard to come by on any given day, however when he does it's a little smirk that his sister finds "cute." That smirk, however, can mean two different things. It could mean that he thought a joke was funny, or that his sister is acting foolish, or it can mean that he has plans for you.

Czolgosz,
Working man
Now to the part than can actually make sense... maybe. See for the majority of the time, Charlie is just plain old Charlie. He works in the orchards, doesn't talk much and when he is spoken to he comes off as kind of weird. No matter how awkward he is, he does a lovable quality, like you can't help but like the way he stutters over sentences that are usually drenched in an accent and structured as if English is not his first language when in fact it is. Truly, Charlie is likable. Charles however is not. That's what Charlie has dubbed that other part of him, Charles. Seeing as Charlie is a nickname given by friends and makes Charles sounds cold, which he is.
Czolgosz,
Quiet man
When you really look at it Charles is a heck of a lot more interesting than Charlie. However you have to give Charlie his share because he does have more face time. Like it was stated earlier, he doesn't talk much. Charlie prefers to be alone but doesn't push away company if someone offers it. He isn't offensive, he isn't easily angered, in fact it is rather hard to work up a temper in Charlie. Charlie doesn't really care for... anything. Well of course he loves his parents and his sister and he does like the few friends that put up with him but to be completely honest- Charlie is boring. All of his emotions are kept in check. He doesn't spit back at Peacekeeper, Charlie does not curse at the Capitol. Charlie just keeps everything in control. That's why when they do come out, his feelings create a monster.
Czolgosz,
Angry man
As you already now, Charles is the alter ego of Charlie. When all the anger that no one ever sees is built up to much inside Charlie, he let's it loose. At first it didn't happen often but since he first started the Charles ordeal the visits have become frequent. Charlie does like it, because no one holds him accountable for his actions. Punishment is always in the back of Charlie's mind which is why he never fights back, but with Charles the risk of discipline is nonexistent. This is because, for the most part, the people he encounters the nights he is Charles won't see the light of day. That, or they don't recognize him, or he swears them into secrecy, threatening to come back and finish the job. It didn't start out like that though.
The first adventure as Charles, before Charles really existed, was the night of the opening ceremonies of the 54th Hunger Games. After fourteen years of holding back everything, he let out every ounce of anger, every come back he never said, every insult he bit back out into the night air. It had felt so good that a week later he did the same thing but just working it out on his own didn't do the trick anymore, he went wandering through the District. It was during the victory ceremony for Arbor Halt did Charles fully emerge and start his dark reputation. That was the night Charles first took a life. It barely counts, it was an elderly old woman who was starved half to death. Really, he was probably doing her a favor but it still doesn't change the fact that he ended her life. He strangled her. Charles did. Every time he had wanted to hurt someone was pulled from Charlie's memory and recalled int hat moment. It was amazing. It wasn't right. Oh, but it was. It helped Charlie burn off some fuel and gave the woman a nice quick death. Win-win situation. However when he tried to same excuse for a middle aged woman a few weeks later it took a little more effort to convince himself it was the right thing. After that Charlie didn't pry into Charles' activities. He did what he wanted and he made Charlie's rage go away, how was that a bad thing? No matter what went on during the wee hours of the morning with Charles in control, Charlie kept his bored, dead-to-the-world demeanor. No one ever suspected him! No one ever will! How could little Charlie Czologosz hurt someone? He couldn't, that was Charles job. Oh what a fine worker he was.

"Nothin' wrong about
What I done."
Charlie Czologosz is the eldest child of Sarah and Leon Czologosz. He has one other sibling, a sister named Jill. Jill is fourteen now, and as much of a nuisance as ever. Charlie does care about Jill, but not as deeply as one would think. Charlie is a numb kind of person, but Charles hates Jill with a passion. He wishes she didn't exist, but he doesn't kill her, he doesn't even think about killing her although that's probably because she's always asleep when he comes out. That's how it is with most of the people in Charlie's life. Charles hates them and wants them gone. Funny, he's never hurt someone that Charlie has actually known. The Czolgosz family all work in the orchards of District 11 although in separate places. Jill is in the higher branches, Charlie has the lower branches, of course they never end up working the in same trees together. Charlie works, goes home, sleeps and gets up the next morning to repeat the cycle. A constant dreary circle.
The circle is broken when Charles comes out. Charles has had many adventures stalking the dark streets of District 11, he goes places that Charlie would never dare venture. Charles has gotten away with almost every crime in the book. In fact, there is only one person that's seen Charles commit one of these crimes. They got away before he could shut them up but he did catch a glance of the only witness that hasn't been threatened to no end. It was a girl, around his own age, with long hair and that's all he can remember. Charles keeps an eye out for this girl whenever he's on the prowl. She's dangerous. She must be taken off the streets.
Like everyone else, Charlie dislikes the Games, but not with as much hatred as most. This is another part of the world that Charlie is numb to. Charles loves them. He strives to be in them one day- to kill without mercy and actually be praised for it? Marvelous.
The whole Charlie to Charles transitions are becoming more and more frequent- evening happening during work a few times. It's like that old story of the doctor drinking the disgusting potion and turning into the meaning of hell. The thing is, Charlie didn't expect hell to feel so good.*Odair*
