Appearance:

Like the rest of her siblings, Isana receive the brown, Bell hair. However, unlike Olivia’s, her hair is only about shoulder length. While Livi enjoyed her hair down, Isa wished for her locks to be displayed in either ponytails or side braids. This girl hates it when her hair is in her visage. Because of her sister’s death, she fears if she wears her hair down that she will see her sister in the mirror rather than herself. Her hair is not glossy but is rather messy. She likes it that way, though.

Her eyes are slightly too large for her head. She doesn’t not like the shape nor this size her eyes. However, she has grown fond of the green color. That trait set herself and her sister about. While Isa was the striking green, her sister’s was a light blue. When she looks at her eyes, she does not fear seeing her sister in herself which is why she loves her eye color so much. When it comes to her eyelashes, she does not bother to look. However, they are long but not thick and dark like the rest of her family.

Her nose it not pointed but it rounded. Sometimes, she gets comments on how cute her nose really is. Because of that, Isa hates her nose. She wishes she had a less attractive nose so people would leave her alone about it. Her lips, like every person she knows, are directly below her nose. They are rather thin but she really does not care. Her cheeks are so “cute”, “chubby,” and, occurring to old people, pinchable. Dang them.

Isa is only thirteen so she has not hit her growth spurt quite yet. At the time, she only stands at 4’9 but she plans to become tall one day. The girl is very brittle boned and cannot successful gain weight. For a girl that goes outside often, she is quite pale and sunburns easily. However, not may people can tell how pale and burned she may be since she is usually covered in dirt from the outdoors.

Personality:

Her name says it all. The girl is very strong willed. Her first sign of her strong will was her desire to live. When it came to her father and his restrictions on her farm works, Isa promised her dad she would not herd the cattle or feed the horses even after all the arguing she had done. However, when he turned his back, Isa was out doing what she wished to do. If she wanted to help out on the farm, she will. Her father cannot tell her what she can and cannot do when it comes to taking care of the family. This trait can lead people to think she is hard headed but that is not the case.

Because she goes behind her father’s back, she can be seen as being dishonest. It is true. In other cases, she is known to tell little white lies here and there to help get what she wants. However, she claims that she does it to help contribute to the family so her conscience would be cleared. However, lying does not just occur when it comes to her farm work. Around her classmates, she sometimes tells false stories and fairytales about her family’s history. Being 13 now, her classmates did not believe her tall tales anymore. However, this does not stop her from continuing to tell people them. Isa has even resorted to hanging out with smaller children so there will be some people that will believe her lies.

Isana can be assumed as being sort of rebellious. She sneaks behind her parents’ backs to get what she wants but she makes sure they never know; making her very sneaking. Her rebellious acts are due her parent’s overprotectiveness. She figures if they will not allow her to help the family, she will take the matters into her own hands. Also, she is very mischievous and can be seen pulling pranks to get laughs out of her family and friends. Being she enjoys causing mischief, Isana owns quite the cunning mind as well as thinking of everything with a strategic view.

Due to recent events, this girl has been depressed. Any loving person that lost their siblings has the right to be. She has not been attending school even through her mother tries to force her. Her eating habits have been changing for the worse. Her already small body continues to get smaller. For her health, this is a terrible thing. For the rest of her families, it means more food for her family. Lately, she has been having nightmares of the boy slicing his machete in her sister fingers and waking up screaming as if it as her limbs that were severed. More odd, she has been sleeping her own bed to wakening in her sister’s empty one.

History:

Isa is lucky to even be alive. At birth, she couldn’t scream. Her umbilical wrapped around her throat and so no air could reach her lungs. Because of this, she could not scream no matter how hard she tried. The fluid in her lungs would kill her if she did not scream. But Isa tried. She tried again. Only tiny gasps of her air were being released. Her mother and father held their hands tightly as they feared their third child would be dead. But then, a loud noise erupted into the room as the baby finally released that scream and her lungs were clear. Original, her name was going to be Sophie but was changed to Isana for her strong will to live.

Growing up, Isa was not allowed to do certain tasks on their farm because of her small frame and brittle bones. She was not allowed to herd cattle with her sister and her father banned her from feeding the horses in fear of her tiny bones of shattering if a horse were to fall on her. She was also not allowed to milk cows because her family feared the cow would kick her. However, Isa was allowed to feed the pigs and chickens as well as collecting the hen’s eggs.

Her life was pretty great even though her parents had little money and too much children. Her sister had a guitar that she played every night. Some of her younger siblings hated Olivia’s strumming but Isa loved to go to sleep with the music playing in her ears. Her family was like those ideal families one may see on Capitol television. They were happy and normal. Of course, the siblings did have their number of fights. Their father was very protective of his young daughters (no so much for Olivia since she was rather large for her age) so he told the other children not to physically harm his brittle boned daughters. She supposes this is very child’s dream. However, it was not her own. She wanted to be picked one and feel like the rest of the family. She wished to be strong like Olivia and Fredrick or, at least, as helpful as her younger, twin brothers.

Last year, her life turned for the worst when her older sister, Olivia Bell, volunteered to be the District 10 female tribute in the 57 Hunger Games. Out of anger, Isa punched her sister in the face before her sister would be forced to hop on a train and live her family forever. When Olivia survived the bloodbath, the exploding rocks, and the toxic, volcanic gas, Isa thought it would be possible her sister would win. However, like she feared, her sister died. The day her sister died was the second day she found it would be difficult to live up to her strong-willed name; the first being the day her sister volunteered for the Hunger Games. After her sister died, she felt two things. Obviously, she was afraid she would soon die as well but, at the same time, wished for revenge against the Capitol. Also, Isa claimed her deceased sister’s guitar.
