Dekka has long brown hair. It is curly and doesn’t tangle easily, when the sunlight catches it faint glints of red shine. These natural streaks come from Dekka’s mom’s side of the family. Dekka has deep, dark brown eyes, they are very dark; you can barely tell the difference from her pupil, you have to look really hard. Her eyes are usually empty, a blank wall. Dekka likes to always keep her emotions hidden. She doesn’t like expressing her feelings, her eyes to her are her emotions only escape so she has built an impenetrable wall; one where her emotions stay in check. Dekka has lightly tanned skin that doesn’t burn easily. Her lips are thin and match her face; they are usually turned up in a smirk, the only show of emotions.

She has long muscled legs that lead to a thin fit body capable of anything physical; Dekka his very flexible. She is taller than average with equal share through her torso and legs her legs aren’t too big for her body, her body is perfect; except for the many scars that ring her wrists. This is from the many slashings, the dozens of cuts she inflicted on herself from her depression. She has well muscled arms for years of strenuous work. Dekka’s hands are rough and calloused, just like her feet they are tough and can with-stand a lot of mistreatment.

Dekka likes to wear shirts, she always tries to wear something long sleeved or just anything to hide her wrist, whether it’s a bracelet sweat band or skivvy. Dekka loves to wear her hair down, and when it gets in the way she ties it up into a loose, but fashionable bun. She likes to wear shorts three quarters, or really short it doesn’t bother her. Dekka hates jackets and loves to wear jumpers. She hates hats, she finds them ridiculous and would never wear one. Dekka prefers to walk bare foot when the weather is cool and pleasant, she always wears enclosed shoes if it’s too hot or cold; she likes boots-no heel- or runners. Dekka is a bit of a tomboy, her most hated thing in the world id dresses. Never in the world would she wear a dress.

Dekka is a tomboy she only has guy friends, maybe some of the girl are her friends she just doesn’t notice. She enjoys hanging around guys, she believes they “get her more” then girls. Dekka is extremely impatient; she burst at the smallest things and cannot wait in a line for longer than a few seconds. Dekka is a really confident speaker and is very good at public speaking. Words seem to flow from her mouth, they come without a thought, and she is a natural speaker. She is also very competitive, continuously testing herself against the guys she hangs with; she likes to prove herself against them. Dekka isn’t very good at school, but she is smart. She is very smart, but doesn’t like to pay attention at school and day dreams, draws or writes. Dekka has only two passions in her life, Dekka loves to draw and write. Art his her life it’s all she lives for, it means everything to her.

Her love for writing and drawing has stopped from doing the best she can at school. She stops listening and starts writing as soon as she thinks of something. This usually ends up with Dekka in a lot of trouble from her teachers and the principal. Dekka is usually a really quiet person that will only speak when spoken to, but she can come up with sharp and witty comebacks very easily and fast. Dekka is very quick in jumping into fights, not only to defend herself, but also to defend others. She is a very serious person and doesn’t take jokes lightly, unless she knows the person. Dekka can be very curious, and sometimes her curiosity can get her into trouble. Usually her curiosity gets the better of her in situations. Dekka is very hardy and can handle a fair amount of pain before it becomes too much.

Dekka is always brutally honest, no matter how much it hurts the other person; she will always tell the truth. This leads to people becoming upset with her and sometimes even hating her, because she offends them. This also lead to her always keeping her promises, no matter how bad or unbearable they are, Dekka always keeps her promises. A promise is a promise.

Dekka has depression. She got it when she was very young. Usually it causes her no fuss, if she’s happy, but depression isn’t something she can control and sometimes it does get the better of her, making her do bad things, damaging her own body. When the depression hits her she slices her wrists, the pain to her helps her focus on things, focus on reality and life. Whenever she does it she makes sure she misses her veins, she doesn’t hit anything vital. Dekka sometimes in a rare show of emotions looks sullen and cold, she tries not to, but everyone has to once in a while.

Dekka lives with her elder sister. That’s all she has. Her older sister is rarely home she is out working to get money. Her older sister -Sydney- is twenty-four. Both her mom and dad are dead; they were killed of the flu and starvation. Dekka’s little brother was twelve when he was called out in the reaping. Of course he didn’t come back. Dekka usually spends her time by herself sometimes she hangs with her friends, but mostly she stays at home writing or drawing. Dekka does have skills with edible plants, healing and fire making. She learnt theses from her older sister. Sydney was taught from their parents’ before they died. She knows a few things and can survive in the wild easily with her little skills.

Dekka has made a suicide attempt on her life before. When she was young just after her parents death. Dekka tried to hang herself off one of the trees in the orchid. It didn’t work as her sister managed to reach her in time. Sydney worked in the orchid and at the time she knew how depressed she was. Sydney came in time stopping Dekka from taking her own life. It was just in time as Dekka was about to jump from the tree breaking her neck, but she didn’t Sydney convinced her not to.

Dekka has also tried to drown herself after another girl severely tormented her at school.

Dekka usually spends her day writing and drawing, she likes to draw anything and write about anything as soon as she gets an idea. No one knows, but Dekka likes to dance. She practices in secluded areas learning the steps to dance and be beautiful. One day Dekka hopes to impress a guy with her skills. Dekka would never want to go into the hunger games, but if she did she wouldn’t be scared she would fight with everything she had. She wouldn’t back down. All she knows she would have to her advantage would deffinatley be her upbringing, with her vast knowledge of herbs, she knows a lot of tricks that can keep her alive. She blieves knowing all the past edible plants is the only advantage she would ever get in the games.
