Appearance:
Coming from District 11, Olive is dark-skinned, though a bit on the lighter side when it comes to skin. She is a bit hairy as well, more on her legs and arms. This is because she doesn’t have time to shave. Even if she did get her hands on a razor, she’d probably get rid of it, considering it useless. Her feet are rough and dry, her toenails broken all over. This is because the skimpy shoes that barely cover them are very well worn, hand-me-downs from her father. Her shoe size is 7 ½, ladies of course. Her feet also have stretch marks on them, as her father was a 6 ½ in a shoe size.Personality:
Her legs are long, and just like her shoes, look worn. She has multiple cuts and scrapes on them from her line of work. They are bone thin, as she is a worker, not getting much food. She has a few pimples on her left leg on her kneecap. Olive doesn’t have any curves, because as I said before, she is bone-thin and very skinny.
Her arms are very long and gangly, one of the reasons why she was picked for working in the orchards. Her arms can extend very far, allowing her to pick the highest apples without killing herself. Sometimes, when she is much stressed, she has a tendency to pick at the many scabs on her arms to make herself bleed, or just take a knife and cut herself. Her fingernails are ragged and bit down to a stub, mostly because she bites them a lot. Her pinkie nail on her right hand is still growing back from being half ripped off.
Olive doesn’t have very much neck, a thing she is very sensitive about. She is very-self conscious about it, but she doesn’t have anything to say back to the people who make fun of it. Her face is heart-shaped, giving her an odd look. She has a large mole on the back of her neck, accompanied by a trio of small moles. This is another thing she is self-conscious about.
Olive’s eyes are large, with thin lashes accompanying them. They are the color of wheat, some would say. She has a small, irregular birthmark over her right eye. She wears glasses, something her mother and father gave to her as a birthday present, accompanied by an athletic strap, for the next ten years. She received them when she was six years old. They are wire-rimmed and circular. Olive’s eyebrows are thick and bushy, making her seem a bit masculine.
Her nose is on the larger size, with ever-flared nostrils. A splash of freckles resides on her bridge, stretching to below her eyes. Her lips are thin and chapped as well, looking like crusty honey in the shape of lips. Her teeth are yellow from not getting the chance to brush them regularly, and she has one or two cavities. Her jaw is square.
And now we get to her hair. Olive has long, thin, wild and greasy locks, stretching to the middle of her back. They are choppy and uneven, for she has to cut them with a knife. They are a dark brown color, often tangled. Usually, you can find much debris in her hair. She carries only one hair tie with her in her pocket, but she doesn’t use it much. Instead, she finds other purposes for it, such as binding branches together to reach a piece of otherwise obscured fruit, or to keep her hand steady on an unstable limb.
You can often find Olive dressed in baggy worker clothes, which don’t flatter her very well. Her shorts are baggy and khaki-colored, forcing her to keep them up with a piece of old twine. She looks very odd when using it, as the four piece of twine are attached to four loops on each side of the pants, then come together to the little neck she has to make an odd necklace. Her shirt is a short-sleeved one and the color of slush.
At first glance, Olive doesn’t seem like very much to the average person. She appears quiet and brooding, working diligently on the fruit she’s picking, focusing intently on reaching all the fruit before sunset. Oh, maybe she’s a bit nice. But for the most part, simple and not that very interesting. The overseer moves on to the next worker, not bothering to ask her any questions.History:
However, the overseer couldn’t have been more wrong. Olive is actually a sensitive girl with more smarts than most think, if geared more to street smarts. She is not afraid to speak up....most of the time. She can be very passive if she doesn’t believe she can speak up without people hating her. She is self-conscious this way, as I stated in appearance.
Olive has three friends-you’ll learn more about them in history- who she can actually consider as people she can trust. She is still wary of them, loyalty not towards them. She doesn’t speak to them much, only getting the opportunity to at school. Even then she is silent, to both teachers and friends. She was thought of as stupid, for not raising her hand much.
Olive is naturally sensitive, due to her harsh surroundings. She is prone to people calling her a crybaby, something that has made her even more sensitive than she normally would be. She calls herself ugly, and is surprised when even her mother tells her the opposite. Even then, she still thinks her mom lies. She works diligently in the hopes of getting to a higher position one day. Another reason is that she is so silent is that she often gets her words muddled up, talking too fast, hilarity accompanying it. She has a habit of chewing her fingernails and biting her lip a lot. She is determined to get to a higher position for her family.
She is sarcastic a lot, chasing off most people. She also has a short fuse when she is frustrated, raising her voice several octaves.
Olive was born on October 21st in D11. She was born to a 15 year old mother, and a 16 year old father, who had been kicked out of their house for having her. Her parents eventually became the butchers, but making little money on it. Still, they made do with the little money they had. Sometimes they were able to get their hands on groosling, shot down by the peacekeepers.Codeword: odair
Olive was raised much the same way as most D11 children- going to school and so forth. When she was 5 and 6, she often got in trouble for climbing up onto the top of cabinets. For her, it was ecstasy for a 5 year old, even without friends. But one day it all came to a halt. When she was 8 years old, she had to start working.
Olive started work as a carrier, carrying wagons of small fruit to the trucks from the skimpiest trees that didn’t produce much. She eventually worked her way up to bigger fruit as she got older, being able to carry more thus. Like most citizens, she became stronger than her body suggested, with a keen sense of duty. When she got her glasses, she began to work even harder. When she was 9, she began picking the fruit itself, a job that she absolutely loved.
During the few school hours, she began to flock to a group of misfits, girls who didn’t fit in, like her. Their names were Breda, Tastalk, and Mallow. They ate together often, and were able to see each other during work hours, as Breda and Mallow were fruit pickers, and the slightly stockier Tastalk a fruit picker. They had a nice way of working together, a system if you will. Sadly, Mallow was transferred to a different field later. Olive has not seen her since, as Mallow started to go to a different D11 school.

I am leaving some of her history for RP, but I think I got the basics of her down on the form.
