Cri has always been tall and big boned. She is 5’8” with huge bones. She’s skinny without the necessary nutrients that District 12 hasn’t been able to feed to their children. She has long blonde hair and nice assets for being as skinny as she was. Her skin was pale, but sometimes could be turned black from working down with her father in the coal mines, something her mother disapproves greatly.

She doesn’t care much for her appearance, but has to keep an extra eye on her hair because it was long and extremely unruly. It liked to knot up at the base of her neck and it would take her mother thirty minutes to get it out and they didn’t always have water to help sooth the pain. She has long fingers perfect for working with people and medicine. She’s got muscles, toned arms and legs, though it makes her look lean.

Personality:

She has three other sisters. Living in a two bedroom house with a leaky roof can push anyone’s buttons. Cri’s temper has known to flare for no reason, which was why she takes walks out in the good despite having no shoes or protection for her feet. She can be loving and caring for her younger sisters and has known to give them presents when she can. She doesn’t like to clean all that much, but will keep her bed tidy as much as possible.

Cri is assertive in what she does for her family and how she runs her life. She loves being self-assured, something that has gotten her through the pass seventeen years. She had anger towards the Capitol and resents them putting her father in such dangerous area. She has gotten her mother’s love for medicine, though her mother never went after her dream. She likes to study every night, the books she had collected over the years.

Though her temper is always known in District 12, she is a powerful ally to have. She will protect you until you betray her. She is loyal to the end, wanting nothing to come to happen to her friends. Cri is not only powerful, but she’s also a master of the words. At least, that’s what her father says. She can give beautiful speeches that make anyone want to follow her; Cri does not think this is true at all. She likes her personality, but she thinks it’s the same as everyone else’s. She kind of resents her sister for not letting her get into the Reaping earlier and not letting her volunteer, but she knew part of it was because Lai was trying to protect their sisters.

History:

Shadi and Mesto met when they were both 13. Shadi’s mother (her father died in a coal accident along with hundreds of other fathers) didn’t approve but the teenagers didn’t care. Shadi put up her name in the Reaping every month to get that little food the Capitol offered. She was lucky enough not to be picked for the Games. She married Mesto after the reaping and her mother disowned her completely. It wasn’t much of a loss, but it still made her feel guilty.

She had Derlai first out of her four daughters. Lai brought it upon herself (never letting Cri work) to bring in food. She did off jobs around the district to help tide over for good and other neccessarites. She put her name in the Reaping every month to bring in the food from the Capitol to feed her three sisters. Lai never got picked either. Becri, when Lai turned 19, took over with putting her name in. She had two younger sisters then too, those two went to school, and Cri did jobs with her older sister.

Years passed until Cri turned 17. She had a secret desire to become a doctor, inheriting all of her mother’s medicine books. She took care of small things, mostly for her family. She doesn’t know her grandparents on either side of her parents. She had a best friend named Becka who taught her all the self-defense moves she knew. She also taught her how to use a pick as a weapon. She cared for animals and loved to sing on her to and from school.
Cri has another secret desire to get picked into the Hunger Games so she could try for the win. There is a huge possibility that she would get sent home in a casket, she knew that, but she wanted to try. That was why she had trained, learning self-defense and weaponry when she could. She desires to win and never have her younger siblings have to worry about food and being in the Reaping.
