Larkspur Pevensy District 12 (finished)

Despite the fact that she is from District 4 and outside all the time, Lark's skin is very light. The only thing saving her from being completely pale is her hispanic heritage somewhere way up in her family tree. Her hair is dark brown with lighter brown highlights and filled with curls. Lark's eyes are the same dark brown as her hair, and framing her eyes, are thick, long eye lashes.

She is an average size for a fifteen year old at five feet and six inches tall and weighing 128 pounds. Although you can't see much muscle, she is very fit with a strong lower body. Having been around water all of her life, Lark can swim like a fish. Her body is built for it. She also runs long distances. She can't run fast, but she can definitely run far. Pacing herself is Lark's strength in everything that she does. Her usual dress is things like a tank top and short shorts when it's hot and a jacket, jeans, and tennis shoes when it gets cold.

Lucky for Lark, she is pretty, because sometimes it can be hard for her to get friends. She gets along with the guys because she's so athletic, but the girls dislike her. Possibly because she simply doesn't enjoy all the girl talk and she was always a tomboy in the early years of school. It was only about a year or two ago when she began turning into more of the girly type and getting a few more female friends, although most of the girls still dislike like her.

Lark has a determined personality. She always finishes something that she starts and when she wants something done, she gets it done with or without help. Her determination makes her stubborn as a mule when she wants to get something done. She never wants to stop, and she wants it done the way that SHE wants it done. It also gets er into trouble with her parents, or even sometimes the peacekeepers.

Despite her stubborn traits, Lark's temper is not as bad as some may think. She keeps rather calm in the face of danger, and it takes a lot to get her worked into a rage. Perhaps this is why a lot of guys get along with her. Guys don't usually like drama, and Lark is particularly drama-free.

Lark's father is a fisherman and her mother is a florist. Her mother named her after the Larkspur wildflower, which is her mother's favorite flower that she sells. She grew up going fishing with her father on some days and staying home to run the florist shop with her mother on others. She has only one sibling, and that's a younger brother who, at the age of 8, doesn't do much of anything. Lark is afraid for him. If he doesn't get things straight and he were to be reaped once he's old enough, he won't stand a chance in the Hunger Games. Just because she would be honored to be a part of the Hunger Games doesn't mean that she wants her annoying little brother to be killed in them.

Lark secretly started training for the Hunger Games when she was her little brother's age. She began running and learning how to fish from her father and learning the names of different plants from her mother. Her parents never knew why she asked so many questions about their work, but Lark always made it a point to never let them find out. If they knew, they would stop giving her so much information. She will never let them know until the day that she gives her interview. Not only does she have the information and running experience that she does, but she trained herself with knives. When both of her parents were preoccupied with their work, and she had free time, Lark taught herself to throw and handle knives. Her mother would get so worried when Lark would come to her with a new cut or bruise, but Lark would evade the question, which made her mother upset, but she would never follow up with another question.

In Lark's earlier years of school, she was picked on and made fun of because she was so different than the other girls. She didn't talk much during that time and kept mostly to herself. Once she got to around age of 10, a few boys began to build friendships with her, but the girls still gave her dirty looks and stayed away from her. Perhaps they were jealous. If that was the case, Lark will never understand why. It wasn't until the age of 12 that she got her first female friend. Her parents were glad. They had been so worried, the way they parents always are when their kids don't have any friends of the same sex. This friend is the one that made Lark want to be more girly and outgoing.
