Cosset Cane Ellinger, District 10 (finished)

Cosset is a very bulky girl.She is not pretty by any stretch of the imagination, and has a spattering of freckles over her face and shoulder and grey-blue eyes. Her strong jaw balances eyebrows that are a bit on the "thick and shapeless" side, at least according to her mother. Her hair is light brown, with just a few streaks of blond running through it. Cosset, however, hates it with a passion, and keeps it tied back in a pony tail most of the time, giving it an almost permanent kink. Given the choice, she would gladly shear it as short as her brothers.

Cosset is not a delicate little thing that sits around and knits. She is muscular from her years of working on the farms with her family, her skin tan from the sun. Her legs are toned from years of being on a horses back, but her arms are where she gets most of her power. Cosset boasts lifting almost 200 pounds of hay at once, nearly as much as her brothers. Her hands are strong and weathered, sized to match her 5'11 height, much bigger than any other girl her age. Her shoulders are broad from tossing hay and wrestling with her brothers, and from behind she is sometimes mistaken for a boy.

Cosset is a caretaker. Her favorite part of the year is spring, when she gets to take care of the lambs that are born on her parents farm every year. She loves to hang out with her brothers, and wrestles with them in the hay barn when they are not busy working. She is stubborn and with it, stupid. If you even suggest to cosset that she can't do something, especially something her brothers can do, she will go to any length to prove you wrong. Even if it is dangerous.

She is a middle child, and is terrified to disappoint her parents. She can not tell her parents that she will never have a family, or bring them grandchildren, although she knows that is what they want. Children love her with a passion, and often use her as a jungle gym, hanging off of every part of her. She is currently in the sate of mind that the rest of humanity is something she should try to push away, children and her family being the exception.
Cosset has no trouble making good friends, being a generally nice person. She makes better friends with men, as the girls in her school usually make fun of her because of her size. She had a best friend up until a few weeks ago, where she was abandoned. She has since started to push everyone else away, believing herself something that should be kept away from other people. she spends most of her time now, sitting in the fields with her beloved sheep, tending them and daydreaming of things she'll never have.
she was in love with her best friend. She kinda told her a little bit and now her best friend hates her. She thinks there is something horribly wrong with her and wont let herself do anymore damage to anyone else.

Cosset's middle name came from her oldest brother, who caught a fever and died when her mother was pregnant with her. Her mother had all of her children very close together, and Cane was the oldest at three. The next oldest son is only a year older than Cosset, named Elver. They grew up very close, and Cosset tells him almost everything, although they often get into arguments. Cossets little brother, Cyril is two years younger. Although they are not quiet as close.

Cosset lived on her horses back from the time she was little. She loved them like her own family, and spent hours in the barn caring for them. She had been hungry growing up, and she learned that making sure something or someone else was taken care of was the best way to deal with her own problems.

Cosset grew up with just one close friend outside of her family. Her name was Baili, and they met on the first day of school. Baili was a pretty girl, with a sweet-heart face. Her naturally curly blond hair made her any little boys dream. She was a little conceited because of it, but it didn't bother Cosset. She was always jealous of the little boys who found her favor growing up. She never realized exactly why, or why this was a strange feeling until she was 16. Embarrassed, she hid it from everyone. After all, she didn't want to be anymore different than the other girls. And couldn't they kill someone over that, anyway? She kept it hidden away for almost a year before Baili noticed something was not right. When pressed, finally Cosset confessed. She had fallen in love with the girl. Baili, confused and surprised, ran away from Cosset. Although its been nearly six months, the two girls still have not talked since that day, and Cosset is determined to keep herself away from everyone else.
