Harmony Cinniccati-District 11 (Finished)

Harmony is 5'5 and weighs about 131 pounds. While she has a bit of stomach fat, her arms and legs are toned. She has big feet for someone of her height (Size 10 1/2), and small, nimble hands. People have told her that she is busty, which embarresses her deeply. Her skin is tanned from working in the fields, and she has light freckles on her arms and around her nose. She has a series of fading burn marks on her left leg from a childhood accident.
Harmony's face is heart shaped, with a straight nose, medium-large ears, and pinkish lips. Her cheeks almost always look flushed. Her eyebrows are slightly bushy, and she has dark long lashes. She has large almond shaped eyes, and the irises are brown with hazel/bronze flecks. Her hair is long (Almost down to her elbows), wavy, and dark brown, and often seems to have a mind of its own. As a result, it is often kept in a messy bun.
Harmony dislikes dressing up in fancy clothes, and prefers comfort over style. A tank top/ blouse and a pair of jeans/ long pants is what her usual attire is. She typically wears sandals or goes barefoot in the summer, and only wears her faded leather boots in the winter. In the colder months she also often wears her mother's worn out longcoat, or a shawl. The only times that she will wear a skirt/ dress is for Reaping Day, the Harvest, or a Wedding.

If there are three words to best describe Harmony, they are Kind, Clever, and Creative. If you need a favor, she will do it for you before you can say 'Thanks'. She cares deeply for the people that are close to her, and would do anything for them. She is usually a patient person, although it is less so for people she dislikes. She dislikes the notion of violence, and will only resort to it in the name of defending the people close to her. Free and Optimistic, Harmony appears to be a light-hearted, carefree person.
Do not let this demeanour fool you though; the girl is rather mature for her age, and can be rather serious when necessary. Considered an intelligent person, and can learn most things with ease. She is a strategist, as seen during her long sessions of chess with her Father and anyone else who dares challenge her; she is always thinking of the long term goals.
When one first meets Harmony, she is often very shy, and as a result, quiet. She will be polite to you. She decides whether she likes people based on their actions and their morals. If one earns her trust, she will defend you. Betray that trust, and you have little hope for redemption.
While on the outside she seems relatively calm, she is internally very emotional. She has a hard time showing emotions like anger and sadness, and as a result these feelings may build up until she explodes. She also takes failure very personally, becoming rather distraught when she is unable to help or exceed her high expectations. Failure forces her to work harder at something so that she does not repeat failure, but when failure continues, her self esteem goes down the drain.
Finally, Harmony is a dreamer. She can spend hours on end sitting on a tree watching the sunrise, thinking about life. If you catch staring off with a wistful/nostalgic look on her face, she is likely off daydreaming who knows what. When there is time, you will see her walking through the orchards, her flute in her hand, singing or playing little melodies until the stars come out. She is a rather talented musician, and if she had the time and money would spend all her days doing just that.
While being a far cry from the well trained Careers of the Upper Districts, Harmony is handy when it comes to making snares to trap animals who try to feed on the crops, and can identify some edible wild plants. She can also wield a scythe or any sort of staff like weapon with a considerable amount of skill.

Harmony was born on the last Day of Spring in the year of the 43rd Hunger Games. Her mother, Karen, works in the orchards while her father, John, is a blacksmith who fixes everyone tools.
A few years after Harmony was born, her mother Karen was expected to have another child, a boy named Aaron. Aaron was born when Harmony was three, but soon become very sick with pneumonia. He died in the winter before he turned one, and as a result, Harmony's parents have become very protective of her (This protectiveness has faded away over the years into caution).
From the moment she was young, Harmony absolutely adored music, and when she started her first day of school (after a two hour walk to the nearest town), the music teacher fell in love with her. As for the rest of her studies, well, she did good, but was honestly bored to death.
Since then, her childhood has remained rather uneventful. From the time she was 12 she has participated in the Reaping, adding her name for tesserae each year for the family; this year her name will have been entered 24 times. When Harmony was 14, she had a crush on a boy named Basil Archer, who was 16. The Archer family lived near the Cinniccati family, so the two often hung out. One night they were playing in the barnhouse when the family cat Scrooge tipped a candle over, setting the barn on fire. They tried to escape, but then the building collapsed from the inside out, trapping the two of them. Harmony went unconscious due to the smoke, and woke up to discover that her left leg was badly charred, and that Basil had got her out of the debris before dying due to his injuries. Since then, she has had a deeply rooted fear of being burned alive.
