Personality:
Ken's appearance, clothing wise, consists of a gray jack that is decorated with skulls. He also sports a pair of dark blue jeans for casual activities, or he will wear a light pair of gray sweatpants whenever he wants to go for a small jog around the area. The shirt he has underneath is a pure black one with dark orange and white stripes, but it is cut a bit around the shoulders. The shoes that he wears were originally a pure white pair of tennis shoes, but now they are servilely tainted with an abundant amount of coal dust.
The civilian of District Twelve has blonde hair that reaches down to his eyes in the front, and it is a bit uneven everywhere else. Ken's hair also looks greasy from the fact that his family doesn't have great plumbing, much like everyone else in District Twelve. The eyes he has are a mixture of green and blue. Strangely, his eyes turn to a mixture of a gray color if he glares long enough. While afar, Ken will seem to be a somewhat healthy boy, aside from the starvation, but you will notice bags under his eyes from him getting an average of four to five hours of sleep a night.
The personality of this teenager is quite strange for someone of his age. Unlike many other kids who enjoy to pull small pranks on family members and talk like there is no tomorrow, the boy doesn't speak that much if he isn't forced to and stays in solitude for most of the time. While other kids in the district are forced to work, Ken spends most of his time in his room since both of his parents are working fairly decent. Instead of doing hard labor, he spends a lot of his time challenging his intelligence, such as teaching himself many difficult math equations.History:
Ken's intelligence is unchallenged by none; having an IQ of around 180 to 190 but was never officially tested. This height of intelligence would make any traps made by him being certainly deadly. Even though his intelligence is very superior, he has to be one of the most lazy people in his own district, not to mention unmotivated unless it would concern his life.
Along with his intelligence, the boy also wields a dagger which comes a bit handy for him. The reason he keeps a knife is the fact that his house is pretty much the "love hut" for any and most burglars in District Twelve. Getting quite fed up with it, he's put a good amount of traps that includes trip strings within his living quarters, using the knife as a last dependent if someone would somehow make it out alive. To back up his skills with a knife, he is a bit fast and nimble for a boy and of his age.
Ken's has a philosophical view on life. Whenever he goes outside, he'll observe people and how the act to different situations. He tries to get a better understanding of the human race, trying to make it so he could predict how they react to a lot of things. Though some may call him a "weird" kid from this, he finds it quite interesting; maybe he could call it a hobby. The blonde haired teen also has a much different feel about death than others. In a way, he could care less about dieing today. If heaven nor hell exist, then he won't be able to tell the difference. If they both exist, no matter which one he is sent to he will still exist and get over it. Even if reincarnation exists, he wouldn't be able to remember a single thing from his past to begin with. His opinion on death can be felt most from this quote: "I do not fear death because it is inevitable, I fear living because life is unpredictable."
Also, he has almost no natural personality. He is like tofu, something that taste like nothing alone, but it can be mixed with anything. Ken's voice is spoke in a monotone way to support this fact. Although one would see not having a personality as a disadvantage, it actually plays into the boy's favor. Since he has no personality, not favoring one emotion over another, he can act like parental figure one minute and then a bloodthirsty bastard the next without any trouble. The only problem with this is that he is not very good at bringing up topics in social situations.
Ken grew up in the District Twelve's version of a "normal" family; one whose parents went coal mining so they wouldn't be arrested. Also so they could support their selves. He studied different school subjects that his own he felt wasn't providing for him. This involved him studying and passing school subjects that were usually three grades ahead of his own. Even though his intelligence would have been praised by a monstrous by Capitol and the Careers, District Twelve had no need for a high intellect and bluntly ignored the power that was locked within his cranium.Codeword: oDair
As a young boy of around the age of five to ten, he was a very polite and kind boy who helped those around him. He did his best in school, always cheering a few people up with how optimistic he was. Unfortunately, this attitude of his had soon died out and was replaced with the personality of a loner. People who used to be his best friends had just dimmed down to "friends". He used to love his family a lot when he was a child for all they did, but now he doesn't think so. He thought it out for quite a long time, why he didn't feel anything for his family. After stressing his mind over this problem, he accepted the fact that he didn't love his parents, and he only told them so since it made them happy.
His house was located in one of the most crime infested parts of District Twelve. People had robbed their possessions plenty of times, stealing valuables such as food and clothing. While his parents couldn't figure out who the culprit was and continued working, Ken decided that he was going to do something about this catastrophe that was thrown at him. He started to mess around a bit with string wiring, placing traps that would involve flying knives or hard metal objects that would knock a person out if they tripped on the string. If it wasn't for Ken who warned his parents about those traps, they may have not been living today.
A few people had died every now and then because they were that foolish enough to rob their house, but Capitol had no concern about this as long as District Twelve continued to produce coal. The boy usually placed the bodies in a crate of some sort so it wouldn't poison any nearby crops and buried it in some ground farther away. Ken felt no sorrow from killing these people, because they were doing things that may end his life. Although he wasn't scared of death itself, he was more scared of dieing a painful one from starvation. So Ken continues on in this very fashion, living his life as time passes on.
