Appearance: Animi's most noticeable attribute is her eyes. Animi's eyes are two different colors. Her left eye is a milky hazel color, with blue and green almost overpowering the brown. Her right eye is also hazel, but brown is the majority of it, with an accidental splash of green. Her small nose and lips remind you of a young innocent girl, which she is, but not so much on the innocent part. Her hair is a deep brown, and when in the sun highlights of red and gold shine through to accent her eyes. Her hair is long and goes down to her lower back. She usually puts her hair up in a bun, pigtails, and sometimes even leaves it down.

Animi is not a tall girl for her age, and she is pretty short. She is skinny, but who isn't that lives in District 12? She spends most of her days outside, which shows on her very tan skin. Her legs reveal muscles that ripple when she runs. Animi covers up her scars from past experiences. Some of these are from people in the district, out in the middle of the night that are drunk and wasted. Then you may be wondering what Animi's doing out in the middle of the night, but that's for another story. Sometimes she even uses special concoctions to cover them up, hoping people will think of her as a simple-minded little girl.

Overall Animi looks like an ordinary 13-year old District 12 girl, but with more scars and more of a muscular build. Besides her muscle, she is very agile. She is fast and can jump long distances. Her scars are from many different causes, but she is smart enough to know to cover them up. Her hands are always dirty with calluses covering them. She tries her best to do what she can, and it definitely shows in her appearance.

Personality: Animi's appearance is an illusion to her personality. She is not a simple-minded, clueless little girl. In fact, she knows a lot of what goes on in District 12. Her parents have changed her. Her dad is an alcoholic and abusive. Her mother, on the other hand is caring but stubborn. She is gone the whole day working. She only comes back when her dad is crashed on his bed, sound asleep. Animi tries to tell her mom, but her mom doesn't listen. When will she? This has changed Animi's personality by making her strong. Mentally strong, ready to take on anything.

Animi is not only strong, but she is calm. It's hard to believe someone could be calm with all of this going on, but all her anger and anguish of trying to tell her mom has worn her out, turning her into a patient and calm girl. Your first impression on Animi is her lack of a smile. She finds it hard to smile, or to show any emotion. Animi is a person that can hide her emotions. If she is scared she can easily hide it, and if she is mad she can also hide it, if she chooses to. But if you get deep down in her heart and get to know her, she can be the best friend you could ever have. You know she trusts you if she shows her emotions around you.

And then there are her flaws. One is, well not exactly a flaw but a problem. Animi has trust issues, even if you start to get to know her, she still holds back. Mostly because she has no one to trust in her family, when her mom doesn't believe her and her dad is abusive. She has no one to tell about her worries, for the time being. Her other flaw is her lack of showing her emotions. No one ever knows how she is feeling so they can't help her in any way, unless they are one of her very very close friends.

History: Animi's parents were not always like how they are now. As a young child they were very loving and never fought. That was when Animi actually was an innocent and clueless child. But at the age of 10, her father began drinking more, until he became abusive, and her mother lost her trust in Animi and did not believe her. That was when Animi changed into the girl she is now. Now she is not a clueless innocent girl. She is Animi, which means temper. It also means courage in Latin.

Animi has not always been alone, though. When she was 12, she met a boy named Cordo Selkirk. He was 13 then, now being 14. She had finally met someone who understood her, being an only child with a bad childhood. He was not an only child, but his older brother was apart of his bad childhood, always beating him up and taunting him. His brother is 18. They both realized that they had much in common. This may explain what Animi does at night. She sneaks out and goes to see Cordo. Her parents don't know and his parent’s don't know. But that could change quickly.

Animi takes advantage of her stealth. Some people would refer to her as a spy, but she likes to call it "gathering information". She is very curious and likes to know what's going on around District 12. She even leaps from roof to roof silently to track her suspects. She normally looks for suspicious looking people and sometimes even peacekeepers, which can be risky. But Animi is daring and smart, which allow her not to be caught.
