Adene Charleson | District 12

Adene is quite tall for her age, with legs and feet slightly too long for her body giving her that 'gangly' look. She is quite skinny, too, giving the same result - although she is not dangerously skinny, it's just her build. Everything about her is 'long'. Her legs are muscly from a lot of the running she does, so are her arms from the climbing.

Adene's body build gives her the advantage of being able to run very fast. She can impress most people by her talent. She doesn't feel pain, either. She can also climb very well if she forgets about the height she's going at. Her weakness is definitely doing anything to do with jumping. With such long legs her knees are ineffective in most cases! But thankfully jumping isn't something she actually needs to do.

Her hair is long and thin. It's not very thin but it doesn't have any volume. Her eyes are a dark brown and her eyelashes are thick but short enough. She has a large amount of freckles from her left cheek over her nose to her right. She is also quite pale, the sun never doing anything but giving her more freckles! Her ears are slightly sticking out but only noticeably because her hair is so fine. Her head is a circular shape. Her lips are a middle shaded pink, not thin not thick.

Adene is a super scaredy cat but sometimes being scared gives her the ability to do things. So being scared is quite average for her. She doesn't much like the dark, although she loves being outside in the dark with the moon, she can't stand being in a lonely room in the dark. She's okay watching a fire or explosion or something with very strong base facts, but when something is mysterious, she doesn't like it. She doesn't like heights, even though she can climb very well.

She can think quite deeply and easily blocks things out as she can just look into somebodies eyes and figure them out. Her fighting skills aren't very well but she has an excellent quality to mentally break an enemy down instead of physically. She can figure out a weakness quicker than she can prepare for a punch. She can use her brain skills to calculate what she needs to do to totally scare someone or just turn them into stop-the-violence mode.

She loves animals and often dreams of district 10. She would some day love to go there, she'd love the responsibility of an animal. As most people hate the Capitol she doesn't, she feels upset for them, why they can't relate to the districts and just work with them instead of against them.

Even at such a young age, Adene cares for her family. Collier - 9 years old - brother. As her mother isn't deemed fit enough to work after a severe injury. She doesn't mind this much, it's all part of her life now, anyway. Her mother is still the same person, a nice caring one. She just doesn't do any work, and is tired a lot. Her father is often in the mines and she doesn't see him much, this is also just another part of district 12, so it's not something she wishes was another way. Most of the time, her dad is a humorous and friendly person - he just has no cop on to what's right and wrong when caring for someone! Her brother is almost her best friend, they always spend time together, almost never fighting. Although he loves his inventions - which are pretty good, too - he loves her too. He tries to pitch in with the work, but he never does a nice job on it so Adene prefers for him to stay to his inventions.

Adene lived an easy carefree life until her mother suffered from a fall at a simple day-to-day place. Her mothers leg is always poised at an unnatural angle and has a deep scar running knee-wards down. Adene still doesn't know much about this but she knows she suffered from 10 years old on.

She often goes without food, sharing out to her family. She takes her mothers place nowadays.

She feeds her father for mine work at 6am and then cleans around the house until 7am, when she prepares breakfast for the rest of her family. By 8:30am her and her brother are set off to school. When she comes home at around 4pm, she prepares more food and cleans. after dinner she has the time to herself until curfew at 9, where she cares for her father and goes to bed.

She doesn't notice her hard life that much, she considers it quite joyful, actually. She likes to say 'Work hard, play hard' meaning that she works her morning and early afternoon away, playing her nights. Her days are monotonous and boring, the same routine and she longs for excitement.
