Callista Archio- District 11

Callista is about 5'5" and probably 100 pounds. She's quite skinny because she is one of the poorer people in D10. Her hair is light red, wavy-curly, and usually pulled back in a loose bun. Her eyes are hazel and almond shaped, with long eyelashes. She has very rosy skin, with freckles sprinkled on her nose and cheeks.

When she works in the fields, she wears a pair of tan pants and a white cotton shirt, along with a pair of brown leather boots. She usually wears the boots and the pants all the time, but a blue shirt instead.

Callista is very shy and quiet. She feels a huge responsibility to her mother, since her father is dead and her brother no longer lives with them. She is a hard worker, but is also very dreamy and constantly imagining the world outside her district- beyond the reinforced walls of containing 11. She has always wanted to see the ocean.

One of her strongest traits is her determinedness. She is willing to push herself to her limits just to help her mother. Her biggest flaw is that she is sometimes too serious and incredibly quiet. She doesn't do much other than work- collecting clothing for her mother's seamstress business, working in the fields, etc.

Callista is very focused on her work, which is almost always in the strawberry fields or the apple orchards. She comes from one of the poorest parts of the district, and her life is made even harder with only herself and her mother supporting the two of them. She is always afraid that if she doesn't go above and beyond in her work, she will not be able to provide for her mother and herself. She needs to learn to relax.

Callista and her mother live together in one of the poorest parts of 11. Her father died when she was nine, after a scythe accident in the wheat fields left him bleeding to death. Her brother then moved out and began working in one of the small, slightly wealthier villages in the center of the district, where he works with the butcher.

Along with working in the berry fields, Callista's mother runs a small seamstress business for some of the locals. Callista helps her with this by collecting and delivering clothes for the locals.

As long as she can remember, Callista has been working in the strawberry fields. When she was 8, she began working in the apple orchards as well, climbing the trees as high as she can, shimmying out on branches, and plucking the apples, before dropping them into the baskets below.

Peacekeepers are strict in 11- every small village is well supplied and rules are enforced. No stealing is allowed whatsoever and the harvest is such an important time of year, everyone stops school and work to fill the food quota for the Capitol.
