Matthew Rain ~ District 11

Matthew is about 6 foot tall and weighs about 145 pounds. His hair is a dark colored and his bangs are flattened up. He has light blue-gray eyes. His eyes tend to be the main thing to attract people. They're evenly lined up on his face but slightly different sizes. It's not too noticable. His eyebrows start out thicker in the middle of his head and thin out as they go out. His nose is semi-triangular and rounded at the end. He dresses in average sporty clothes. He normally wears sneakers and athletic shorts and short-sleeve shirts. He doesn't really dress to impress and he normally has lots of cuts and bruises.

Hit upper body is rather skinny for most boys his age and he has really strong and sturdy legs. This makes him a fast runner and he is very stealthy and agile. His hands are very strong and fast. He can swim pretty well when he needs to. He isn't very fast at it though. His torso is rather muscular and normally will wear short-sleeved shirts to show off his biceps, which aren't as big as he thinks.

Matthew is very caring but is very defensive of his friends and family. He's rather talkative. He also can be very sweet. He's a very athletic boy and loves to run. He is a very good tree climber. He is strongly against the games but would voulenteer for his family in a heartbeat.

He and his family are strongly against the games. He has a few close friends and lots of not so close friends. He likes to play outside and would hunt if it was allowed. He doesn't always follow the rules but tries his best to if he has to. He is pretty well educated but still has to work in the fields.

He doesn't really like working in the fields. He finds that it pressures him to much but he still works his hardest as always. For a while he has had a crush on a few girls in particular. He thinks girls look better without make up and thinks that the capitol over does it way too much. He is hoping that if he is ever in the games that no-one voulenteers for him because he doesn't want anyone else to die. He is also rather quick-witted and has some snappy comebacks.

Matthew is rarely rude. He likes to crack jokes every once in a while. He tends to be somewhat joking unless they are of the most serious situations. He doesn't like to be artistic or creative but he does have these skills. He can sing but rarely chooses to. He jokes can sometimes be a bit rude even if he doesn't mean it. This sometimes makes people not like him as much. He will also lie on ocassion. (Well a bit more than that.)

Matthew lives with his mom, his dad, his two younger brothers and two older sisters. His younger brothers named Billy and Micheal are ages 12 and 14. His older sisters Lizzy and Erika are 17 and 18. No one in his family has ever been picked in the reaping. He has had terrible nightmares of it happening before though.

He has a pet cat named Tux. He is a black and white 'tuxedo' cat. Tux is very friendly. Every day, Matthew works in the fields gathering food that just get shipped off to the capitol. Since he doesn't get any of the food he might have to get Tessera for his family as Erika has been doing.

On a daily basis when Matthew has a day off he will take a run or go tree climbing. Sometimes he goes to hang out with his best friends. He also tends to his mother's garden that she grows. He also likes to carve things into the trees with his pocket knife. He carries it in his pocket.

When Matthew was little he would pull pranks on his older sisters and mess around with his younger brothers. He still does sometimes. His spare time was normally spent with his father who he would play games with and he would help his mother cook. Since he was 14 he has had a crush on the same girl. They met in school and it was love at first sight.
