Gardenia Rinad
Gardenia came out of the clear taxi wearing a sprkley bronze dress, bags from trendy stores tossed over her arms like they were bangle bracelets. Each one sported a unique logo: "Dazelle" "Papillon" "Glitter" "Hype" and the final bag was a purple leather one with an expensive designer logo embossed on the golden tag on the front. The capitol definition of rich girl. The type of girl that bought that light blue cashmere shawl wrap from Papillion JUST because it would look good with those new silver jeans from Glitter. She bought the jeans with that pair of sapphire blue booties from Hype that were sold out of her size. She had them on order, just so she could have bragging rights to the first pair that would come in. They SAID they would call her. She rolled her digitally remixed eyes and continued to walk down the center square, her high heeled sandals tapping on the dark concrete. This particular part of the city had little flecks of gold in the concrete, and created quite a glistening path when it was in the sun.
She continued down the street, to her favorite little Lunch place, which doubled as a nail polish sellers, and entered the large room, which had transulcent racks holding the nail polish. The host reconized Gardenia, and told her she'd be right with her.
"No, Im just getting a nail polish shade. Black with gold specks?" The man, who Gardenia didnt know by name, led her to the blacks section, where she surveyed the shades, finally picking out one that resembled the sidewalk. She opened the bottle and started to paint a nail when she looked up, seeing an unfamiliar face for this time of day. Which was VERY unusual for Gardenia.
