Olive : District 10

Olive is a petite girl with a frim stature. She stands around 5 "2" and is thin, but doesn't look underfed, as she isn't. Her skin has a light tan colouring to it. She has deep green eyes that always have a sparkle of life in them.

Her prettty face is framed by her curly locks of lightly blonde hair, which fall to her shoulders. She usually wears a thin hairband or ribbon in her hair to keep it away from her face because it hinders her on the farm in District 10. The feature she hates most on her face is the small, brown mole above the outer end of her left eyebrow. She always takes care to keep it covered by her hair.

Olive has always been a good-natured girl. At home she has ample friends which she gained through her natural charm and wit. She is strong in herself and although she is friendly at best, she clashes with those who disagree with her strongly. She has a strong opinion in most things and can at times come across as intimidating to people when she first meets them. Once known better, people learn that she is much less intimidating and hostile as she first appears. She is never quick to trust people through her instincts, and is difficult to fool or trick. She is pretty clever and can think fast, but what holds her back is the fact that she can't run very fast.

She is healthy and athletic, but not quick nor agile. From working on the family's farm, she is strong in her arms and although Olive doesn't resort to it often, she can throw a good punch when she needs to. She is not very academic, but her good brains have allowed her to absorb plenty of knowledge on farmlife and animal habits. She has good sense of humour which she often couples with her wit when insulting the Capitol, which she tends to do a lot. Her displaced manners towards the Capitol get her in trouble at her school, and have earned her a name with the Peacekeepers.

Olive has always had a gift with animals. She befriends them easily and can gain their trust with little effort. She understands them and they understand her. Animals are one of her greatest interests and she is always able to find peace in them in difficult times. Olive says, "Currently, the world is not a wonderful place. It's in a real mess. But that is down to the humans that inhabit it, not any of the other creatures." She can always rely on her dog Reggi to comfort her when she had enough of the people in her life.

Olive has never had a hard life as her family's farm always generated enough money to keep their family of five alive and happy. She lives with her mother, father, older brother and younger brother on their farm in District 10.

Her parents Frita and Russel are honest people and good parents. Olive, her father and her older brother Supi work in the fields and barns caring for their livestock. Her mother keeps the house and also assists Olive's younger brother Arlo with trading in the square. Although he's only 11, Arlo is already a confidently convincing salesman.

She used to have a twin sister named Rubia, but she disappeared when they were 9. The family were on their weekly picnic on the hill by the stream, but nobody noticed Rubia leave. Once Olive saw that her twin sister was no longer there, the family began to search for her. After weeks of fruitless searching, they gave in reluctantly and never have saw her since. No funeral was held as the optimistic family believe her to be alive somewhere.

Her best friend is her schoolmate Garnet. They met aged 10. After the disappearance of her sister, Garnet provided Olive with a sister-like support which she was deprived of since that fateful day. They are very close, and Olive in her own way supports Garnet emotionally. Garnet lost her close cousin when he was reaped for the 58th Hunger Games. He was unfortunately killed during them, which really sparked a strong hatred in both Garnet and Olive for the Capitol for creating and relishing the Games.
