Jasmine Rivers, District 12 ~Finished~

Jasmine has very light brown hair. In the sunlight, it's almost blond. It is naturally wavy and comes down to the middle of her back. She wears it up most of the time.

She has very deep brown eyes. She has a scar that extends from the bottom of her chin up to the bottom of her left ear. She received it when she was helping her mom with a vegetable soup one night. She tripped and fell with the knife in her hand.

She weighs 115 lbs and is 5'3". She is pale because she is just the type of person that will never get a tan. She has bigger calf muscles than other girls in the district; she likes to run. She also has freckles splashed on her face.

Jasmine has a point at which she breaks when she gets told something she doesn't want to hear, even though she knows that it has to be said. Otherwise, she is fairly nice and gets along well with people, which has enabled her to be friends with many teens in the district. She is shy, however, so it takes a while for her to make friends. Her shyness really shows when she is trying to talk to a guy that she likes. She can't get a word out.

She is very closed about her past. Once she gets to know someone, she opens up. She has a very tough shell and she always has a smile on her face, even though she feels pain sometimes. Sometimes, she's impatient. She is very loyal to people, unless she doesn't like them. Then, not so much.

She appears to be very harmless, but she can, and she will, kill people. Only if she has to however. She is a very sneaky young woman. She can walk without making a sound, but can't help it when she walks on leaves or twigs. This enables her to sneak up on people, as she has done so in the past. Let's just say, her father jumped a mile high.

Jasmine was born into a family of coal miners, like everyone else in district 12. Her dad spent long days at work, while her mother stayed home to cook and clean. She also helped people with wounds. Anyone that needed help would come to her to receive it, as their district wasn't big on hospitals. She sometimes would help get supplies for her mother, helping her because some patients didn't have long before dying. Her mother didn't have time to run back and forth for supplies.

Her big sister, Rose, never got picked for the Hunger Games. She was very lucky. Although, it couldn't be helped that she died while giving childbirth, leaving her boyfriend without a girlfriend and without a baby. Sometimes, they send him things, such as spices or some other things necessary to live, as he now has to support a new family with 3 kids.

When she was seven, she was helping her mom in the kitchen by chopping up the spices with the only knife in the house. She stopped for a second to go dip it in the small bucket of water, only she tripped over her own feet and fell down onto the knife. She now has a scar extending from her chin to her left ear. Her friends and other classmates called her Scar for awhile but eventually stopped when Jasmine chose to ignore them.
