You Have To Learn With What You've Got. For One Day You Might Have To Learn Without It.
Liam Ontario
District 12
Male, 19
Appearance
I have brown hair. No, it's much more complicated than that. I have.. auburn hair. I describe it as a mix of reds, browns, and blondes. It's a little more complicated than any other boy's hair. I keep it cut pretty short, and it never touches me ears, I can't stand that. It's usually cut upwards, making it stand up. It almost looks like I have hair gel in, but we all know that you can only get that in the Capitol. My eye-brows are slightly darker than my hair, but you hardly notice. My ears cling to my head like a lost puppy. They don't stick out beyond the side of my head. Though, I'm sure you'll hardly notice them either, all you'll be looking at is my eyes.
My eyes. They are like an endless shade of hazel. Outlining the pools of green and brown is a purple circle. You have to get in real close to see it, but it's there. My mom used to always say you can tell a persons true colors by looking at this part of the eye. If it is purple, then they have a pure heart, if it is brown they are connected with nature, and if it is blue, they love the ocean. You never really see any blues unless you're in District 4, but the occasional one comes along every once and a while. They are the ones with pure intentions. All this is just my mom's superstition, that I tell myself I don't believe, but I know that I do.
I have a smooth nose that just looks right on my face. It's the right shape and size. I have a little bit of stubble on my upper lip. I don't like a full beard, nor do I like no beard at all. I have been working in the mines of D12, and out of that, I have abs. Like a six pack abs. I don't mind showing them off either. My body feels more natural without a shirt anyways. My legs are strong and muscular, along with my arms. I am built for the coal mines, that comes in handy considering it's the only thing I'll ever do.
Personality
I have a complicated personality, sometimes, I am humble, and others I'm not. I guess it really just depends what is on my mind. When I'm thinking about my mom, I try to act more like her. And if I'm thinking about something sad, it shows in my speech. I am not really a go-getter when it comes to girls, though having a girlfriend isn't something I am against at all. When the right one comes, I'll know it.
In my free time with my friends, we love to dance. And we don't dance to any ordinary music in the Districts. It is really different from anything you've ever heard. We have people banging trash cans, and people scraping their shoes on a piece of gym floor. We just have all these crazy instruments that we dance to. I love doing it, and it's the way I made most of my friends.
I'm a nice, free spirited type of guy. I've never met anyone who hadn't liked me, but I'm not cocky about it. I am a leader too. People follow me. I guess it's just because I am easy to listen to. I have a very colorful personality I'd like to keep colorful.
History, In the making
I was born into an okay family, money-wise anyway. I mean, we got by. I never knew my father, he passed away when I was four. My mom worked at the butcher, so we never had a huge problem with meat supply. We always had plenty of coal. My sister became a seamstress at the age of twelve, and I started working in the mines when I was sixteen. I'm pretty tall, so they believed me when I said I was eighteen.
When I was seventeen my mom died. She had a disease no one knew how to treat, and it killed her after a few months of misery. I loved my mom, and I sat with her until she died. It tore me apart to watch her eyes slowly flutter close, but I had to spend every moment she was to be alive with her. My sister took over as head of the family after that.
When I was eighteen, my sister, Jessica, became pregnant. Her boyfriend ran away at the thought of a child, or was it because I beat him up so much? I don't really remember. When Jessie had her baby, I basically became the father. I struggled trying to keep up with the baby and Jessie along with work. But somehow I managed for a year. And here we are now. I guess this is History, In the making.
