Feather Moon- District 10

Feather Moon is 15 years old and is from District 10, which is the livestock district. She has long dark-brown hair reaching to the middle of her back that she usually keeps loose. She has big light green eyes that sometimes look blue, and she has long dark eyelashes. Feather is about average height (5 ' 4") and weight (105 lbs) for her age. She has a slender nose and a small mouth.

Feather has a delicate face, yet her eyes always seem to bore right through you. She has a determined look to her that makes you feel that she has something up her sleeve. She prefers to wear loose pants, a tank top, and a pair of well-worn boots, all of which are frayed and torn at the edges. I found a pretty good picture but just imagine her with longer hair and greener eyes.

If there was one word to define Feather Moon, it would be clever. She's extremely intelligent and resourceful. Feather's always trying to think of every possible solution and way to do something, so she usually knows what she's getting into. However, sometimes she overthinks things and can lose focus easily. She doesn't have any extroadinary physical advantage, but her cunning and intelligence more than makes up for it.

Feather can seem intimidating at times, but she does have a softer side. She loves nature, and absolutely hates having to hear animals being slaughtered every day for meat. She can be shy in front of large groups of people (yet when she's mad "shy" is the last word she is), and can freeze at times when speaking. She seeks knowledge, and has read the history of panem (which is pretty much the only book they can read), at least 10 times.

Feather is not the most friendly person in the world. She often gets frustrated at people when they don't pick up things quick enough. She usually is extremely reserved around strangers, revealing almost nothing. She's not big into allies. According to her, they will have to kill each to her in the end, why not save the drama? No, she would probably work alone.

Feather Moon was born in District 10. She's named Feather after the chicken that almost jumped on her when she was born. She lives with her mother, father, and little brother. Compared to the other people in her district, she's about average, with a few cows and chickens that they either slaughter for meat and chicken, or keep for eggs and milk.

Like many of the people from District 10, Feather's family manages to keep some of the meat, eggs, and milk from the Capitol for themselves. Therefore they aren't as underfed as most of the people from Districts 11 and 12. But since they don't have a lot of livestock like some of the higher-up members of the District, Feather gets a lot of her food from the black market, which miraculously manages not to get caught.

When a Hunger Games is going on, Feather watches as the District 10 tributes, a few that she knew from school, are slaughtered, just like their cows. And according to her, for stupid reasons. Feather's always predicting who will die and why, and within a day the cannon booms for them. Sometimes Feather feels that the Games aren't that hard. All the tributes die either by running into a battle they can't win, or by not knowing enough herbs or survival tips. She's watched it ever since she was five, and by now she knows almost all the poisonous plants and ways to hide. How hard can it be? Maybe if she went, she could save a life from her district. But no, why would she volunteer to die...?
