Felix "Stranger" Greene District Ten

Name: Felix "Stranger" Greene

Appearance:

The man here has relatively short, dark brown hair with very dark eyes. He wears an old green jacket, black cargo pants, and some brown work boots. Under the jacket he wears a green shirt. He has a small token attached to his jacket in the shape of a coin. Very old, an old family heirloom. The coin has a heads of some random president he can't remember and a tails of what he believes to be an angel.

The boy has relatively white skin, though covered in dirt a lot. He is tall, about 190.5 centimeters (six foot three inches). Rather thin person, but almost all of his body is muscle (but that's really just him being very thin from lack of food). His hands are quite big and full of callus from all of the heavy lifting he does. His hands are the housing of many scars from wood and knives. Working on hard labor bringing scars on his torso, mainly his back from accidents and fights he has gotten into.

His face is usually covered in a look of exhaustion and sometimes depression. His eyes have heavy bags under them most of the time because of working at night. His left eye has a little gash underneath it from another accident. His fingers have sustained many splinters as well.

Personality:

A rather quiet boy, usually. He likes to keep to himself rather than bother anybody. It's more or less a sort of "keep out of trouble" idea. Everything he does is for survival, and nothing ever goes to waste with him. His mindset is usually "I can't afford to waste something right now." He keeps trying to make the best out of a situation, keeping his hope alive for something better to come.

He is always one to better himself, and looks to the past to do so. With many mistakes under his belt and other mistakes he witnesses, he tries to learn from his past and others to not repeat them in the future. Though he has his many moments of despair, he continues on to fight his urge to give up on his own life. He never was one for suicide or any sort of weakness like that.

He DOES believe that suicide or "opting-out" is weak, but this merely comes from the attitude he has been brought up on. He knew from the start that he couldn't simply just stop trying, especially since he has nobody to rely on. He has his wants and needs, but has kept his humanity intact. He helps others before himself as much as he can, trying to maintain the decency that he believes a person should have. He does have those times where even he can't keep a good personality out of sheer frustration though. He is far from being good. More of a neutral kind of guy.

History:

From his birth, Felix (or "Stranger" as he has become known as) has had a poverty stricken life. Living in the slums inside of District Ten has had a huge impact on him. His family was never capable of feeding him and his three other brothers all at once. He had been a mistake like his other three brothers. His parents simply couldn't stop having sex without proper protection. He would usually go hungry because the older brothers had to keep their strength up to maintain the family. Making him very thin and tired most of the time. His brothers tried to care for him as much as possible, but their jobs were hard. The second youngest brother died in his job. He helped build houses, and with the little education he had he could only help nail things. Never making enough money for the family, he died in an accident at work where the boards fell down on his spine, he had bled out before the co-workers could find him.

His second oldest brother had run away and became a wanderer (the most likely explanation that Felix came up with). Leaving the family behind and making them lose even more income. He tried to convince his other two brothers to come with him but Felix and his eldest brother stayed out of their love for their parents. They couldn't bear to leave them alone and let them die alone.

A few months after the second oldest brother ran, their mother became ill. Her heart had been broken by her two sons leaving her and she couldn't bear their losses. She had died of a broken heart, which caused their father to become angry and drink more. Their father usually took it out on Felix, because he couldn't work until he was fifteen. For two years Felix put up with his fathers beatings before running away.

By the age of fifteen, Felix had run from home and stayed on the streets of District Ten, working at odd jobs and usually doing a lot of heaving lifting. He barely makes enough money for himself and sometimes worries about his elder brother. But he couldn't go back to his now drunk father who would surely beat him once again and probably break his legs so he couldn't leave. Felix can only try to survive on the streets with the small amount of education he has.
