Appearance:
Shep stands slightly taller than average at just over six feet when barefoot. He has developed a good build and muscle from years of working at a butcher's shop, lifting and hauling animal carcasses. He lets his curly, dark brown hair grow out and almost always has it tied in a tight ball on the back of his head, keeping it all out of his face and off his forehead. If it's not tied back, his hair goes down past his shoulders, but these instances are rare outside of when he is sleeping. His eyes are the same shade as his hair, his pupils often blending in with the darkness of the irises.Personality:
His face is littered with freckles, as is most of the rest of his body. His hands, arms, and even his face all show scars ranging in size from small nicks to one that stretches all the way across the back of his left hand. His nails are chewed down as he often bites them when bored.
Shep is most notable for his social personality. He strikes up a conversation with almost everyone that comes into the shop and is able to pull smiles out of just about anyone. Even with this fact, though, he can often be found in the freezer part of the shop by himself, simply enjoying the quiet.History:
On top of his friendly personality is one that tries to keep the peace as well as he can. He isn't one to pick fights, but will get into one if he feels like he has to in order to stand up for someone else. However, when this does happen, he often does his best to simply end the fight quickly.
When he's not working in the butcher's shop, Shep is out in the fields around the district, unable to keep still. Rarely does he sit down and do nothing, and is almost constantly moving from place to place.
While Shep normally has a rather laid back attitude about things, the Reaping is always a hard time for him. His brother, twelve at the time, was a tribute in the 53rd Games and died during the Bloodbath. While the images usually one haunt him during the time of the year where the Games are going on, he occasionally will shrink into his mind whenever the image of his brother's decapitated corpse jumps to his mind.
Shep's family owns a butcher's shop in District Ten. While they make more money than those that look over the animals, they are still relatively poor. They can't eat most of the meat that comes through their shop, as well more than half of it is shipped to the Capitol and almost all of what's left is sold to the citizens of the district.Codeword: odair
The first Hunger Games he can remember is the Second Quarter Quell, when he was four. At the time, he had no way of grasping what he was watching on the television and had no idea the impact that the games would eventually make on his life, just as it does every citizen of Panem.
The 53rd Games came when Shep was seven, still far too young to be Reaped. His brother, Benjamin, wasn't too young, though, and even with only five entries, was taken as a Tribute. It was these Games that made Shep finally realize what was going on. Until then, it had all been the faces of strangers, but seeing his brother die infront of all of Panem made something click in his brain.
Fast forward nine years and Shep is now sixteen. He works in his parent's shop six days a week, his normal, friendly personality helping to aid in the selling of everything from chicken to beef to fine steaks. On his off days, he roams the fields within the gates of the district. While it is discouraged by the Peacekeepers, he practices boxing. With no teacher, nor any formal instructions, he is by no means an expert, but could defend himself well enough if attacked. If asked why he does this, he'll tell you simply to stay moving and keep himself in shape, but, inside, he knows it's to potentially give himself an advantage of some kind if he should ever be given the same fate as his brother.

So yeah... It's been forever since I made one of these. The site I've spent the last two years on was very laid back and never required apps, so it's been at least that long since I've made one. If anything needs to be fixed, just let me know and I'll gladly address the issues.
