Hollow Grasseed (District 12)

Hollow Grasseed is a reasonably skinny teenager, he has short messy brown hair which influences his small freckles which run across his small button nose. He isn't very tall, around 4'6" (Four feet, six inchs). Hollow has sharp green eyes which can sense movement a mile away and this has it's advantages when he hunts, illegally. Seeing as though he's not very tall his ears are also round and small. His small round face holds all of these features which makes him who he is, although he'sfourteen he very rarely gets spots.

Hollow's lower body isn't very strong but it does have it's advantages when hiding. His feet are small and are only a size 5 (Adult size) this means his legs aren't very long, even though he's not as strong as he would like to be his lower legs are slightly muscular, however, his upper legs are not as muscular as his lower half.

His upper body is skinny but he can lift his own weight. His arms are both as muscular as his lower legs are, this is from all the 'game' he steals from his neighbour, such as squirels, rabbits and once even a goat. He's fairly happy with his appearance but would love the chance to bulk up a lot more.

Hollow is a fairly polite teenager and enjoys stealing, the only problem with this is the fact it's illegal and he could be easily killed for this, he's bubbly, funny and loves attention. When Hollow is at school all of the other girls and boys constantly stare at him; whether it's due to loving him or wanting him dead he always has that slight bit of attention.

He doesn't have many friends because he likes to keep himself to himself but he does have a few friends. The friends he does have are mainy older and live around the seam, Hollow has one friend his age, also male, who likes to go stealing alongiside of him.

Hollow can be aggressive but is rarely aggressive, one way to make him angry is to say things about his family.

He does have his flaws like most people in the seam, he's never handled any form of animal and this secretly upsets him because he believes that if he can handle animals, his name will never come out at the reaping as he has a big job to take part in back home if he were to go, but even he knows this isn't true.

Going into the mines at eighteen scares the living 'Hell' out of him as he's already experienced bad things happening to people down there. He doesn't want to die at an early age, he'd rather die due to starvation than being trapped inside of a dirty old mine.

Hollow had one older brother but was called out to work inside the mines ,on the same year he was suddenly killed, this had always haunted his mother and father who were deeply upset when they heard their child perish painfully and slowly, they fear for Hollow. Hoping that their son will never have to go into the deep black mines.

He was born and shortly after was quickly talking, most people believed this to be some sort of witchcraft seeing as their children didn't begin talking until around the ages of three or four. His childhood was farely average, mostly labour but he knew this was going to have to happen if he were to keep the peacekeepers happy and stop them from hurting him and his family, they'd had enough pain through losing their children.

Hollow has been told from an early age at school that he will become a miner at the age of eighteen, he hates small spaces and refused to take up the oppurtunity to go down the mines on a school trip, he pretened that he was ill which resulted in a public school whipping which enraged his parents who couldn't do anything about it. He just wants the capitol to allow him to do what he wants.
