Appearance:
Blue eyes, blond hair, and full lips are the first three things that most people characterize Aqua as. Being short doesn't bother most of them who stare at her, but her blond hair does. She lives in the Seam, the drought ridden, crap infested part of District Twelve, but her mother and father both were born in the Market half of the district.Personality:
A little chunky, but healthy looking, she made her debut into the world of beauty. A lot of people tell her that because of her overly round face she looks twelve, much to her dismay. Then the other half, whom are more used to seeing the green-gray eyes of the Seam workers, tell her that her eyes snap into their souls; make them question their motives.. what a useful trick she has.
Aqua was proud of her vertical challenged-ness. If she were ever to be reaped (more and more likely by all the times she has her name in) she would be difficult to spot, especially if she had a way to hide all her florescent bright blond hair, which wafted around to her shoulders in looks, wavy curls.
Aqua is intelligent, one thing most everybody remarks about her. Her intelligence and quick wit shine through, something quite useful in Panem. She's always ready to question peoples motives and will never turn her back on anyone, for safety reasons.. no one wants to get stabbed in the back. She's also been well known as a problem solver, being logical floats through her genetics.History:
But with ever strong suit, there's a flaw that follows aptly behind. Aqua may very well be quick witted and intelligent, but she tends to not listen to her head first and ends up doing and then thinking about her actions and the consequences that follow.. A not very useful thing to keep about.
And with her logic comes her ability to completely drop all things that could be used to complete the logic in pressured times. She was never good at studies (her mother pressured her to do some schooling, to know a little bit about some things) And it seemed like every time her mother would test her everything she knew would drop out of her mind like flies in a fire.
Now, just as everyone else, she also has some things that could be a flaw or a strong suit, depending on the situation or how you look at it..
She's very empathetic. She's sensitive to peoples feelings and emotions, and wishes everyone the best, even in trying situations. Whether she's in trouble or not she constantly apologizes and tends to pull her mood off of others- if people are angry around her, she's going to be in a worse mood- and she's frightfully honesty.
Excerpt from Aqua's Journal:Codeword: odair
Growing up in the Seam is difficult.
Hell..
Birth in the Seam was difficult.
But lets not go into all the gobble-d-gook of that kind of stuff, I wouldn't want to add the flame to the explosives; I really don't want people questioning my sanity if I went into all the expressive notions my mother took on giving birth to me.
So, you know how a lot of kids here grow up without one parent (usually the dad)? Well I was one of the lucky ones, and I grew up with both, as a-wall as both of them had been my entire life. Luckily I got away with most things I did based on the "cute-ness factor."
Well, mom's kind of just a shell because her brother died in a mine explosion a while back, and she doesn't really talk to anyone or do anything that could be useful to human survival. And dad's constantly at work in the mines, which scares mom more, so she's even more of a shell. It's kind of a terrifying cycle, but it's whatever, I can deal on my own.
My uncle (the one who died when I was seven or eight) was a really cool guy, apparently. He was constantly fighting for what was right, and he swore left, right, up, down, and sideways that he was going to be a general in the revolution.. (according to my mom, at least.) I didn't hear it very often from her, but every time I did I saw a light in her eyes that didn't exist anymore. Her brother and she had grown up orphans because of the shit jobs all the people in District Twelve have to deal with.
Anywho, by the time I was ten I was sneaking through the uncharged fence and killing animals for meat. So my family didn't go starving, which was a plus. And during the winter we were warm, which was a second plus. Sometimes I wished I could get reaped for the games, because if I won, I could feed my entire family very well.
But the hunting, the hunting was amazing. I was great at trapping and snaring, and I loved building little machines that helped me out in it. A bow and arrow didn't work out too well in my favor, but a small hunting knife did. My dad carved it for me out of some metal he had found in one of the deserted houses lining our district. I was so excited, and lo and behold, I was practically a natural at it.
Anyway, mom's calling me to help cook supper.. it's deer again tonight. At least it's not her turkey stew..
bye bye!
