Age: 17
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 12
Appearance:
Auricula has sparkling hazel eyes. Her eyes are soft and compassionate. She has wavy red hair that looks like it's on fire. Her hazel eyes are a great contrast to her firey hair and fair skin. She definately doesn't have any freckles. But she has a zit problem. She often will get zits and maybe a mole. She also gets warts on her feet sometimes. She normally wears a knee-length, sunny colored dress with thin straps. She likes to wear her hair in two braids or she'll just push all of it to her right. She never wears tight clothes.Personality:
She is slender and her ribs show, but she is athletic. However at times she catches the latest bug; her immune system is not that strong. She wears a small locket with a picture of her brother in it. She wears a bracelet with a tiny blue pendant in the shape of a water droplet from her mother for good luck. She doesn't always wear shoes, and if she does, they will be tight fitting courduroy or leather boots, or loose flip flops.
Auricula is compassionate. She cries for people she hasn't even met, and she hates watching people die or get hurt. Being forced to watch the Annual Hunger Games each year, though, she has toughened up. But just a little. She is very sweet and almost everyone love her. She likes flowers and knows a lot about herbs and spices and roots. Being so kind and soft, she is very vulnerable. She can be naive, selfish, or prideful. On the other hand, she could use her dainty, helpless appearance to fool people into thinking that she's weak.History:
Auricula is funny. She loves to tell jokes and try to make people happy. She tries to entertain. She is a natural at getting sponsers and getting people to like her. She also likes pets and animals. She will nurse anyone to health from a tribute to a rabbit. There is not a feirce bone in her body, but she will survive if she needs to.
Auricula is very vulnerable. People think she is weak and unable to fight. She can either use that as a disadvantage, or try to fix it. It's hard for her to bring herself to even think about killing anyone. She can't believe that those idiot gamemakers would seriously make people fight and kill each other. The Hunger Games just don't make sense to Auricula.
Auricula was born into a weird family. An odd family. When she first took her first step into the world, she stopped breathing. She had been born premature and very, very tiny. She had two other brothers. They were very quirky and all they did was eat, so Auricula and her mother were contantly cooking for them. If they were hungry, they couldn't work properly to chop wood and such.Codeword: oDair
Auricula never really got all that big. She is still small. Her mother calls her petite. She loved her family and her mother. She never knew what happened to her father. One day, she was chasing a rabbit because she noticed it was sick. She jumped over a log and suddenly found herself in a wonderful green meadow.
The meadow was odd but beautiful. Auricula was curious, so she went further into the meadow, abandoning her rabbit chase. She came upon a small hut that had dried mud and leaves for walls, much like the huts in their village. As she ventured closer ro the hut, the door opened, startling Auricula. But when an old, crinkled woman appeared and smiled at her, she calmed down, realizing that she would not be hurt for trespassing. The old woman said, "Come here and sit by the fire."
Auricula talked with the woman for a long time, telling her about her family and that she knew, every day, that they could die. The next thing was very odd. The old woman reached up into her cabinet and pulled out a small black velvet case. She explained that the case held 10 throwing knives. She told Auricula that she would teach her how to use them.
Auricula agreed, the woman taught her how to use the knives. The woman taught her the practice of medicine by herbs and what herbs you could eat. She taught her the way of the forest. Auricula's family prospered, and she became very skilled with the throwing knives.
Eventually, Auricula began to get angrier and angrier with the Gamemakers and the people of the Capitol for creating the games. She began to steal and rob the Peacemakers, but she never got caught, for she used her knives and told people to be quiet, or she would kill them. She really never would have. She got food for her family this way, and one day she traded some chicken and a squirrel that she had stolen for a young calf. They used the calf for milk when it grew up.
