Raymond Godfrey, district 11

Raymond is below the average height for his age, and is pretty thin. He doesn't have much muscle either. His hair is medium length, knotted, black and pretty messy, and he isn't a very clean person. His eyes are a chocolate brown, and he has a slight tan. Despite not being very well fed, he appears happy and healthy, with a seemingly constant smile on his face.

His clothes are usually very old, generally bought from neighbors. They don't fit very well, especially his shoes which are much too big, but he never complains. People often believe he's younger than he looks, mostly because of his height, but also because of his young looking face, which is also slightly feminine.

The main thing people note about Raymond is his optimism. He can always find a reason to be happy about something, and even if he couldn't, he would simply saying 'being sad won't help', though not completely true, as he tends to hide his sadness or anger from others, not wanting to burden them. Another notable trait of his is his eidetic memory. He can recall events, facts, people, etc to good detail, which also makes him amazing in school, and gives him survival knowledge. He is also very lazy, finding whatever way is easiest to do something.

He also knows how to befriend a person well, and is good with compromises. However, despite all his intelligence, he's pretty bad with actual fights, and is poor with weapons, which makes him rely heavily on others. He also makes a poor sneak, and hasn't even held any weapon that requires aiming. He can be rather loud, mostly due to his abmnormally high happiness.

Overall, he's lovable, smart, and very weak. He doesn't like breaking rules or laws, mainly because of harsh peacekeepers. He isn't very defensive or assertive either, fearing that the person may try to harm him, or that he himself may be hurt. Despite saying otherwise to others, he will be cowardly and likely panic in bad situations. He is also confident, and not afraid of being the center of attention (unless it's for something bad).

Raymond was born to a family of grain farmers in district 10, including his two parents and younger sister (10). Raymond's childhood consisted of his father teaching Raymond and his sister learning farming skills from their father. To help get the family more food, Raymond would put his name in multiple times for the tesserae. He has always done well in school, mostly due to his memory. He was never pushed around much either, since he has many friends who protected him.

He plans on simply being a farmer, much like his parents, in the future, but does hope for a better life. He lived off old stories his mother told him when he was young, making him a slave for a good story. Other than his fear of being picked, he enjoys the reaping because it's generally the time his family finall gets food.

His best friend for as long as he could remember was his sister. Ever since she was a baby, he would spend times playing around with her, helping her when she needed. His sister is the person Raymond has ever felt protective for. Raymond's mother has knowledge in medicines, and is known to help people medically when needed. She teaches her daughter about the medicines, though taught some basics to Ray. She taught Raymond and his sister about the pointlessness of negative emotions, so she's responsible for Raymond being generally happy with everything.

I won't overdue the eidetic memory thing. And his happiness might be slightly exaggerated.
