Zorion Olentzero, District 10 - Done!!! :D

In all honesty, Zorion is a handsome guy. It is, however, very apparent that he's not quite all there in the brain. Not because of his features, neccesarily, just because of the way he sports them. The mouth, just slightly open as if he wants to speak but he's not quite sure what words to use, and those big, brown eyes cast down at the ground because he knows he's different, and looking at other people just reminds him. His brown hair is tussled just a little more messily than his siblings because he can't figure out how to comb it down so it will stay, and his eyes are just a little blanker than everyone else's. He hates those eyes. One glance into them and then people don't think of him as shy or quiet anymore, they think of him as retarded. And no matter how hard they try to hide that fact, it always shows through.

Zorion often needs a little help with getting dressed, because if he doesn't get it then his clothes just don't seem right. He can't really tell what looks wrong about them, but they just don't fit. Sadly though, his siblings are busy people, and so often times they dress him in simple things so that they can help quickly him and get on with their day. Zorion always feels guilty when he has to pull his younger brother from his work just so he can put on a shirt. The clothes are bland and none of the shirts have buttons, but Zorion's ok with that. If it's faster for his siblings to do then he's being less of a nusiance, and being a nuisance is a bad thing to be. Plaid shirts sport his broad chest, and long blue jeans cover his muscular legs. Zorion often thinks that it's too bad he's brain damaged, because if he wasn't he would make an amazing man.

Zorion knows he isn't completely hopeless, and that's what keeps him going. He can move fine and can do most tasks, but he has immense problems understanding things. Yes, he knows how to tie his shoes, but it took him almost half a year of rigorous explainations to finally understand that you put the string over and not under. Zorion hates being different, all he wants is to be normal, to be smart like Cachi. Maybe then he might be useful.

Zorion's biggest feelings are guilt. He feels guilty that he can't figure something out even after Cachi spends days patiently explaining it to him. He feels guilty that he's supposed to be the big brother and yet his tiny little sister has to spend her time helping him brush his teeth and making him breakfast. But most of all he feels guilty that after their mother and father died he wasn't capable of taking care of the siblings he loves so much.

Although Zorion often feels guilty and useless, in reality he's one of the nicest people anyone will ever meet. He acts like an innocent little kid and isn't capable of hurting anyone or anything, although unfortunately, people often see him as an incredibly easy target and take pleasure in hurting him. Zorion loves his siblings more than anything, and he feels horrible when they come home tired and depressed because yet another person assaulted them for having an abnormal brother. He's constantly trying to make up for it though by doing hsi best to understand things and trying to make them smile.

Zorion's history has been long and tiring, but he always tries to look on it with a positive point of view. When he was three Zorion got a bad case of the mumps, and although he survived his brain swelled badly and he got brain damaged. Ever since he has endured over whelming guilt for being a nuisance to his siblings, embarrassment for being different, and sadness that he can't be normal. But he always tries to cast a happy glow on life by being the best he can be.

When Zorion was nine, Cachi was eight, and Tolosa was three, Zorion's youngest sister Leita was born. Shortly after birthing her his mother Mari got deathly sick and quickly passed. Zorion's father stayed around for another nine years, but he had always had a bad heart and he passed on. Normally, as the oldest, Zorion would start taking care of the family, but because of his condition instead his 17 year old brother Cachimorro took over as the "father" of the family.

Everyone in their family has a title. Cachi is the leader, Tolosa is the mother who makes meals, does housekeeping, and comforts the kids, Leita is the youngest one, the real baby, and Zorion has been labeled the special one. Not because he has a special skill or a special feature about him, but only because of his history that made him the way he is. Sometimes it makes Zorion happy that he's at least something, but sometimes he just wishes that for one day he could be special because of something other than a stupid handicap.
