Name: Rhythm Raddox Yule
Age: 16
Gender: Male
District/Area: The Capitol
Appearance:
Rhythm Yule was always a small kid in his youth, and despite growing taller during his teenage years, his body remained awkwardly thin. Even though his height is that of someone his age, Rhythm has been mistaken for someone up to two or three years younger due to his obvious lack of muscle. At first glance, one could easily tell that Rhythm isn't strong, since his arms and legs are small and almost alarmingly weak.
The teenager changes his hair color monthly, using dyes as a way to express his intense desire to fit in. The colors that he chooses are often out of the ordinary, ranging from light, frosted blues to deep crimsons and bright pinks. Rhyme also has a line of piercings on his right brow, and two on the left side of his lower lip.
Though not renowned for his fashion sense, Rhythm's friends and family consider the teen unchanging in his style. Dull whites and blacks paired with bright, contrasting colors, such as blues and oranges, make up the majority of his day to day outfits. Most of the time, Rhyme can be seen in black and white striped, collared shirts paired with a colorful jacket that contrasts with his hair.
Rhythm rarely tans, though it could be considered more of a lifestyle choice than a physical trait. The teenager finds darker skin unattractive on those that weren't born with it, and therefore stays indoors as much as possible to keep his skin tone consistently fair. In fact, as of late, Yule has taken to dyeing his skin an almost sickly-looking, grey-tinged shade which he adores.
Personality:
Rhythm is incredibly antisocial, choosing to stay home whenever presented with the opportunity. If it were up to the teenager, human interaction would be considered unnecessary, and everyone would just stay home. Alas, Rhythm has come to realize that there are many different reasons to be forced out of the house on a daily basis, many of which involve other people.
Rhyme dislikes standing out in a crowd, especially when it's in a negative way. The young man tends to keep to the shadows when in public, ignoring the social norms of the Capitol and trying to avoid being noticed by anybody else. This obvious dislike of other people often leads to him being labelled as rude or unpleasant to be around by most.
Rhythm is typically disinterested in what's going on around him due to his strong desire to be just about anywhere else. Though he tries to remain relatively emotion-free, the teenager often responds negatively when provoked. Of course, due to his small frame, Rhythm is hardly the type one would count on to win a fight, though that almost never occurs to him until it's too late.
Rhythm has a very peculiar way of speaking, cutting off during or fading in and out of conversations at random times. Even though he might be there physically, it's quite obvious that Rhythm is often off in another little world of his very own. The teen often daydreams, and is rarely fully anchored in the world in which he lives.
Despite not really caring about what other people think, Rhythm has an unhealthy obsession with his appearance, particularly when it comes to his hair. The teenager will often spend hours upon hours trying to make himself appear as presentable as possible when going outside is necessary which often takes up a large chunk of his day. Even though he doesn't go so far as to modify his appearance with tattoos, whiskers, tails or feathers as is often seen in the Capitol, Yule aims for perfection, and is extremely disappointed in himself when he falls short of that mark.
History:
Family:
Priscilla Yule (36) - Mother
Stephano Yule (40) - Father
Princillip Yule (12) - Brother
Rhythm was born around the 43rd Annual Hunger Games in the fall. From an early age, Rhythm was neglected, in a way; his parents really sucked when it came to treating him like a child. Instead, Priscilla and Stephano would often leave the boy home alone, which contributed greatly to his antisocial, unfriendly nature in his later years. If his parents couldn't be bothered with him, why should he take it upon himself to care about anybody else?
The young man had a pretty uneventful childhood. Being a citizen of the Capitol, he was brought up believing that the Hunger Games were just another fact of life. Rhythm finds the events incredibly exciting, and attempts to show up to the interviews or the parades whenever it's possible.
Rhyme has always lived with his parents, but, apart from messing with his head, they never really had that big an impact on his life. Currently, Rhyme's parents travel around the Capitol, involved in so many careers it's tough for their kids to keep track. When they're not at home, Rhyme's expected to look after his younger brother, Princillip, whom he hates more than just about anybody else due to his annoying, nasally whine and tendency to constantly ask 'why'.
Rhythm is looking into becoming a stylist of some sort, and is also considering tattooing or other forms of body modification as possible careers. The teen dislikes the idea of taking a 'difficult' job, since he finds that just about all work is strenuous and tedious. Even though body modification involves other people and is somewhat challenging, taking an unattractive person and making them beautiful appeals to the young man.
