Being born into the Capitol has its perks.
Having a mom out of work doesn't.
He was only five when his mom was fired for some unknown reason, and ever since, his family has been in the dumps. From an outsiders view, supporting a family of three with a single job seems easy, especially in the Capitol, but all of those people are dead wrong.
Kevin's childhood was fair, of course, he could only glare at other kids, wondering why he couldn't be as lucky as them. And then, with a sorrowfully look, he would glance at his mom and only feel bad, because she must feel like this is all her fault. (And it is, isn't it?)
He's always had enough to eat, and he developed well enough to be as tall and as strong as most other boys his age. His arms and legs aren't exactly popping with veins, and his abs might not be very prominent, but he's pretty strong. His square jaw and broad shoulders give him an even more masculine look. His toes and fingers are fat and long.
In school, Kevin was a troublemaker. When he turned sixteen, his parents decided he ought to work, so he dropped out and found a job at a repair shop. He made money there, but not enough to spend his life fixing cars, so he quit, and decided the easiest thing to make money was to take it, so he started stealing.
His blonde locks might like innocent, and his brown eyes may look like the sweetest in the world, but when his legs take those prideful steps after successfully snatching something his family needs, they shine with a type of evil.
And then he met them, or at least started hanging out with them, and his world changed. He kept stealing, of course. But finally, him getting a job or his mom getting a job or getting caught for stealing were the least of his worries. He had to make sure he looked nice for the party, or that he brought what was assigned to him. And Jackyln came along, and he swore he was too macho for a girl, but she changed everything.
Except the anniversary gifts he always gives her are stolen.
So here he lies. Perhaps with the purest skin because he can't afford to dye it, but one of the guiltiest minds. Admittedly, he does still live with his parents, but he wants to move out soon, with Jackyln. And to this day, he still looks at his mom, wondering if she feels guilty, and praying for her not to.odair
