Mairead has very red hair that reaches a few inches past her shoulders, and it is very wavey. She has grey-green eyes that glow when she is excited. Her skin is light, and she is a bit tall for her age, at 5'7". She is a bit underweight but doesn't care much. She has knoby knees and sharp elbows, which people should avoid for their own safety.

Mairead tends to wear a loose shirt and pants. She keeps her hair down because she likes the way it feels in the breeze. She prefers to go barefoot, but is very good at avoiding sharp things. She is generally a very clean person, besides her feet, and just sniff. She smells good. Her voice is high pitched and whispy.

Personality:

Mairead doesn't talk much, and is in fact very shy. She mostly prefers to keep to herself, though when she does converse it is filled with a lot of babble and random facts. She has a habit of spewing out information, being a very smart young girl. She can sometimes be a bit of a know-it-all, and is very nosy and gullible. She is just curious, she says, defensively.

Mairead is very protective of her family, though it is just her and her mother left. She enjoys her work, with her favorite animals, chickens. She also has a fondness for cats, though she only has one, Speckle. She enjoys running and climbing. She laughs in her head, but tries not to laugh a lot out loud, or she'd sound like a maniac. Anyways, she does do quite a bit of laughing up there.

Mairead loves to read books and poetry alike, writing her own is a passion. She enjoys making her own names up, often sounding rather strange. She keeps her head in the clouds at times, imagination running wild with every new idea. She sketches scenes a lot, real or unrealistic. She does not care what people think of her ideas.

History:

Her parents were Alistair and Fiona Mac'IlleBhreac, and she is the youngest of two, her sister being Anetzia. Her sister and her were close in age, so they often went places together and did jobs side-by-side. When not on the farm, they would visit houses and look for odd jobs to earn a little extra cash. When Mairead was seven, her sister died of drowning. She was there when it happened, and since then she refuses to go swimming. She doesn't ever talk about it, and though she morned for an entire year, afterwards you might think it never happened.

Her parents wanted her to work hard, so she did. She went to school like a good little girl, came home and did her homework, did her chores, then looked in her books for more information. A particular subject that interested her was history, until she asked too many questions and switched to science. Her teachers were proud of her, spelling being something she was a pro at. Every time she brought home terrific grades her parents would let her take a day off of chores. Nonetheless she still did them.

When she was twelve, she found herself thinking of her sister more and more. She could not walk alone without thinking of Anetzia. This stage passed again after a good long cry, and ever since, when she thinks of her sister, she cries to get rid of the memories. She made a good friend this same year, named Coleen, who liked to talk to her.

When Mairead was fifteen she picked Speckle up off the street. Soon after she sketched the cat in it's sleep, and a richer citizen bought it from her when he saw what she was drawing. She got a job decorating his house, and once a week she comes in, cleans it, and occasionally adds another piece of art to the large home. Not much pay, but she made another good friend in the process.
