Ziva Viress had hired (bought) a new Avox. Due to her considerable income, Ziva had decided to buy a bigger house. She had finally put the finishing touches on it, and she was now the proud owner of a two-story Victorian house with a lot of wood and glass. It was beautiful, and Ziva rarely complimented things, even if she had designed them.
There were only two problems with it. One, it was a little too big for her (she didn't live with anyone), and two, she didn't have enough Avoxes to clean it. Which led her to where she was now. Buying a new Avox.
Obviously, she couldn't have some filthy mongrel running around her house, making it even dirtier. That just wouldn't do. Ziva had looked long and hard for a new Avox, and had made her choice: Denali Clyburn (or something like that). She was a young girl, about Ziva's height, and pretty enough. Not anywhere close to Ziva's own stunning appearance, but decent enough for an Avox. The Avox had long blond hair that looked slightly dirty (nothing a shower couldn't fix), and blue eyes.
Yes, the girl would work. The future president of Panem had to have the best, of course.
Ziva had been looking for acceptable Avoxes for a long time. She didn't want them to be much taller than her (even if she did wear high heels all the time), so she had to waste copious amounts of time looking for a slave, but she had anyways. Ziva rarely accepted anything less than perfect, which meant she hardly ever slept and drank large amounts of caffeine to keep her awake and working diligently.
Now that Ziva had finally bought Denali, she was heading out to go pick up the Avox. She sighed as she entered the compost where the Avoxes were held for buyers. The building was spotless, of course. Everything in the Capitol was. It was just that Ziva didn't like the way the man behind the counter leered at her. She scrunched up her nose, but plastered a smile on her face anyways.
"Hi! I purchased an Avox just a little bit ago," Ziva told the man imperiously. "Her name is Denali Clyburn. I've already paid, and I wanted to take her with me now!" Ziva waited for a moment. "Please," she added, as an afterthought. She had a reputation to uphold.
The man told her to wait a moment, and she did, feeling slightly impatient on the inside. Wouldn't he just hurry up?! She was a very busy person, and much more important than he was, so he really should have just hurried up and gotten the girl. She was running a tight schedule. Life didn't wait for the lazy.
Finally, he got up and headed back into the building. It seemed like ages before he came out with the Avox. Ziva sighed mentally. It took him long enough.
ooc: Please forgive this awful post. I currently have no muse for her. Hopefully that'll change.
