Leonardo had an appointment. A very important appointment. It was a fighting appointment. The appointment consisted of him fighting another. But who would his victim be? He knew that he had to be prepared. So he gabbed his hunting knife when he had left home. His loving and caring God-mother had told him:

"Be careful honey!"

Leo would be, but he had run into jams before and got out. He suddenly walked into a tree. He rubbed his nose then sneezed. He continued along what seemed to be a path and found himself in a plain of grass. Leo had no idea what it looked like but it stretched for some distance is all that he could judge.

Leonardo sat down, criss-crossed his legs and waited for the opponent to arrive. He tightened his black blindfold as well.

You must choose your opponent. But they will also choose you. You will know that they have chosen you because they will try to kill you...

The day was a very odd one to be feeling down. Winter seemed just about over with; the sun was out, sitting high in the sky and burning her face with every passing hour that she hunted. Nevertheless, everything around her seemed so alive. Flowers blooming, birds chirping, and everything seemed peaceful. Everything should have been fine. She had her sister back, and that was all she could really ask for. She hadn't seen the girl for months when they had both gone their separate ways.

Something was wrong though, as it always seemed to be. Despite the fact that she had her sister back, she felt empty. Alone. And the worst part was, she wasn't even sure why. Everything was better then it had been, and yet, it all seemed like it had gotten worse. Confused, Myla took out one of her hunting knives and tossed it around as she walked, catching it on the handle each time, playing and replaying her thoughts in her head. She was supposed to be hunting, but she couldn't bring herself to actually pay attention to anything else. She had been walking around like that for hours, with mixed up thoughts and the inability to make sense of them.

What the hell is wrong with me? She asked herself as she walked noisily through the woods, surely scaring away all the animals in range. Again though, her mind drew a blank. She had absolutely no clue what was wrong, and yet she kept walking. She would walk until she figured it out, however long that might take. She was walking farther and farther into the woods, away from the ruins of District 13. She was prepared to just keep on walking away, for days if she had to, but something stopped her right in her tracks.

She was paying such little attention to everything around her that she barely noticed the boy until it was too late. She had walked into a sort of clearing and there he was, just sitting there on the ground. Almost as if he was waiting for something. With all of the noise she had made, there was no doubt that he would know she was there.. but what exactly was he wearing? It looked like a blindfold, over his eyes. He might be able to see through it, but he might not be able to as well. Nonetheless, her presence would be known. She stood there for a moment, knife in hand, wondering if she could just walk away silently. She backed up for a moment, backed away from the boy, until her heel caught on something and she felt herself fall backwards onto the ground. She could have easily gotten away still, if she had not spoken out of surprise. "Crap!" She exclaimed loudly as she hit the ground with a painful thud.

Leo had heard somebody walking near him and falling. This person then tried to escape but fell and yelled out a word. This person was of female gender apparently. He smiled as he got up but kept his head down.

"So," he said, "you are my opponent then..."

Leo turned to the direction from where her voice had come from and held one hand behind his back (right) and his left hand in front of him. His left arm was straight down at an acute angle of forty five degrees with his hand held out ready to black any attack. His knife up his sleeve and waited for the sound of her feet to run at him and attack him with whatever weapon she had.

A trick that he would use is to hear the weapon slice through the air, allowing him to dodge any sword or dagger. The fists would be harder, but he would still be able to hear the fists....

"Well?" he asked, "When do you attack?"

The breath was slightly knocked out of her when she hit the ground, but other then that, Myla wasn't hurt from her fall whatsoever. That didn't mean that she wasn't in trouble, though. The stranger had obviously heard her small exclamation of surprise, unless he happened to be deaf. She highly doubted that he was, because how on earth would he have been able to get out into the forest? Without eyesight it would be hard enough to manage the terrain, but without sound? You could be attacked completely by surprise by an animal or a random stranger. Dusting herself off, Myla rolled over and pushed herself off of the ground, more dirt now staining her clothing then there was before. She wasn't ever really clean, but what was she supposed to do? She spent most of her time out in the woods, hunting for the Uprising. There was no one to judge her appearance, out in the middle of nowhere. Frankly she barely even cared how those of the Uprising thought she looked.

When she heard the stranger's voice he head snapped up and she looked at him again. "So," she heard him say, "you are my opponent then.." She had no clue what on earth he was talking about, but it made her uneasy. I'm his opponent? The only thing that was clear was that this stranger wanted a fight, he wanted her to attack him. He wanted to hurt her. Why that was, she had no clue. She had never met or seen this stranger in her lifetime. It worried her for a moment that he might be an undercover Capitol authority hunting down runaways in the woods, but she dismissed that thought. If he were from the Capitol he would have some kind of large, sufficient weapon that could easily kill her or at least hurt her enough so that she could be caught and recognized. He didn't seem to have any weapon of that sort, but if he was so eager to fight her he had to have some kind of other weapon. To survive in the woods a person had to have a weapon of some sort to hunt, let alone fight a random stranger successfully. If he had gotten out here into the woods so far, he had to have at least a knife, just as she did. She still had her hunting backpack with all her tools and weapons inside, and she still held the knife that she had been tossing around absentmindedly.

The only question was, should she even attack him? There was a part of her that wanted so badly to take out her confusion and anger on somebody, to fight. So what if she ended up dying? She was tired of her confused thoughts, tired of not knowing what was wrong with her. There would be no loss, if she died. She was useless, only hunting every single day for the Uprising. Nonetheless, there was also the part of her that was cautious. The part of her that worried about the consequences. She could just as easily turn back and leave this stranger, go back to District 13. She could go back and see her sister, and her sister would cheer her up as she always did.

Something that the stranger said stopped her from turning around and going back, then. "Well? When do you attack?" He asked her. She was annoyed by the blindfold over most of his face, because she couldn't see the stranger's eyes. Without seeing his eyes, she couldn't see his expression. It was so much easier to read a person's expression if you could see their eyes. She wasn't sure if he was completely serious or not, and that is why this annoyed her so much. Without that opportunity, she was only left even more confused. She wanted to turn around and head back to District 13, but what if this stranger followed her? He could be a Capitolite, and he could turn her and all of her friends into the authorities if she left. The only safe option for herself and her friends would be to stay and fight this boy, whoever he was. Maybe she didn't even have to fight him. Maybe she could persuade him to leave her be.

"What if I don't attack?" She asked him in a confident voice. She wasn't afraid at all, nothing about this stranger intimidated her. Maybe it was the lack of huge weapons, maybe it was the blindfold, but she was unafraid. Even if he did attack her, she would be ready. She adjusted her grip on her knife absentmindedly for a moment and then turned her gaze back towards the stranger, awaiting whatever his answer might be.

Leonardo smiled as if he knew the girl was frustrated with his question. Anybody in the forest would be frustrated by a question of the sort. It was human nature to attack after being provoked. This girl must be his opponent because she was the only one there. Nobody else was where he was, she was right there and she had already brought out a weapon. He dropped the smile when he then realized that she might think that he is a person in league with the Capitol. Anybody with sense in this forest might think so too. Point is, however, is that she would still fight him to protect herself. There was no avoiding the fact that she would have to fight him if she thought he was a peacekeeper of the sort.

When the girl asked what if she didn't attack, Leonardo was not pleased. He wasn't surprised at all. After all, peacekeepers could be bought off. But she must have figured out he wasn't a peacekeeper. They normally carry very sufficient weapons with them to kill anybody that breaks the law. So she was a little smart. But there was still the possibility that she thought that he might be a spy. Leonardo deduced that she would still fight him to protect herself. The only thing now was to provoke her even more.

"Then you are of no use to me and you may go on your way," he said, "but know this, you are a very useless and cowardly person to not fight a blind person who challenges you to a fight. He is empty handed as well, while you have a weapon of sorts."

Leonardo grinned as he knew that anybody would become furious at what he said and attack him within the second. He started to think once more. If this person should be smarter than she sounds, she would probably walk away. But if she stayed and fought, she wouldn't be as smart but she would be brave. She would be angry however so her fighting ability would be less than her potential. So Leonardo had the advantage on that one. But she had the advantage of sight so she could see him. But she could not read his expressions at all due to the fact that he had a blindfold on.

She would not be able to read or anticipate his moves so he had the upper hand once more. But there was still the problem of sight. He would have to either take that factor away from her or he would have to listen to his ears and make sure nothing hits him at all. But she might actually be quicker than he could anticipate. But he predicted that she would attack him first due to frustration and the need to keep herself safe and of course.... her honor. He had no honor, but she probably had honor of her own. If she walked away, there was a possibility that she might regret it and he might tell everybody in District 12 that a girl who had a weapon did not fight him when she could have.

Which proves that she was a coward and she would be shunned. He could also just go tell on her and they could find her. So her safety also came into the fact of why she would attack him. But would she do it? Would she actually risk a fight to the death? Or would she stake her life by leaving him there? It was her choice, not his.

When Myla saw a smile play across the stranger's face, a feeling of anger rushed through her. His smile was smug, so arrogant and controlled. She always hated it when people smiled that way. It was the kind of smile that made herself feel weaker, as if she was wrong to not be in such control as this stranger. Even if his smile was false, it propelled her forward a step, glaring at him strongly even though he wouldn't be able to see it. Right then she actually wanted to fight him, to put him in his place. She wanted nothing more then to fling every knife she had at him, to cause him as much pain as possible. It was people that acted like him that made her violent. People who acted so in control, so sure of themselves. So condescending. She had been looked down upon her whole life, useless to everyone and anyone who existed, except for her sister. She didn't want to take it from this stranger either, this person that didn't even know her. She wanted this stranger to take back his smug smile, she wanted to prove a point. At the same time, a part of her mind nagged at her, screamed that fighting him would be a bad idea. She had to keep control, but she had lost control of everything so long ago that it would be almost an impossibility. She stood there for what seemed like ages, but was probably only a few seconds as she pondered what to do. Her confused thoughts became more muddled, intertwining to the point that she was sure she would go mad. Maybe she already was; maybe that was her problem. Fight or flee? She had no idea. Maybe this stranger was stronger then her after all. Not just in physicality, but in mind.

Then suddenly the thought struck her that this was a trap. He was trying to confuse her, and he was easily succeeding. If he wanted so badly to fight her he would have to manipulate her emotions, wouldn't he? While he stayed cool and collected, he was trying to anger her. While she was standing there trying to figure out a way to prove that she was the stronger person, she was acting foolishly and walking right into a mind trap that he had meant to set. Her anger only made her more wrong, her muddled thoughts only ensured danger to herself and everyone acquainted with her, if he actually was a spy for the Capitol. There were reasons to fight him, and yet there were also reasons to try and find a second option. But which option was the right decision?

Then of course, he had to speak again and make it even more confusing for her to figure out. Her emotions ran wild at the things that he said. Despite the fact that she always criticized herself silently, these criticisms seemed much worse. If there had been any doubt of her faults before, they all vanished with the words from this random stranger. "Then you are of no use to me and you may go on your way. But know this, you are a very useless and cowardly person to not fight a blind person who challenges you to a fight. He is empty handed as well, while you have a weapon of sorts." The word useless struck her the hardest. Had she not been thinking the exact same thing only moments ago, before she had stumbled upon this interesting situation? Always following others' orders, doing pointless jobs, and never doing anything right. Maybe she was wrong after all. Maybe there was a damn good reason this stranger had that smug smile on his face. Maybe he was superior. Then there was the idea of being a coward.. was she one? Her already confused thoughts became a tangle of discombobulated nothingness when she added this to her load of stress. Already struggling to figure out who she was, she felt like a thousand tons of bricks had just squished her beyond repair.

If there was anything that made sense right then, it was that she needed to scream at something. She felt like she needed to fight this stranger. Blinded by complete anger at him and her own foolish self, she wanted nothing more then to pull out a knife or two and relieve herself of all the anger that she had pent up. It would be like a stress release, only more murderous.. No. What are you thinking? Stop it! Take a deep breath. Calm down. You really are a fool for acting this way. Her common sense chided to her relentlessly, making her back up a step and gather her thoughts again. This should be a simple decision. Two options. Option A- Fight. Option B- Don't fight. There was no option C, no easy way out.

There would be consequences for what she did no matter what, which brought her back to the question: What option was the right one, and what option was the wrong one? She felt like a child being lectured about morals and important lessons to be learned, but it wasn't that simple. No one ever taught how to make this kind of decision. But maybe that was because no one ever believed she would ever be in that kind of a position in the first place. If she fought him, she was potentially putting her life in danger. She had fought random strangers in the woods before, but something about this one scared her more then others. Maybe it was the way he smiled. When she looked up at him again, she saw that the same smile was on his face; it seemed so arrogant that it caused her anger to flare up again, only for a second. Nonetheless, it would only be her life lost, if she were to fight him. Unless of course he went to fight the Uprising in the case that he was a Capitol spy, but she still highly doubted that. If she didn't fight him he would surely follow her until she reached the Uprising camp, which would not only be harmful to herself, but to everyone she knew. So when it finally came down to it, it wasn't a question of fighting or not fighting. It was a question of a possibility of death for herself, or a possibility of death for the whole Uprising, herself included. Unselfish or selfish. No matter how much she clung onto the false hope that she could walk away unscathed, it wasn't going to happen.

It was then that the sky seemed to clear above her, just as her own thoughts fit together like little pieces of a puzzle. The puzzle wasn't finished yet, but she was working on it. She couldn't fix it all in one day. She remembered something she had once heard someone say, and it seemed to match her situation. Rome wasn't built in a day. In school they had taught little of the world's past, so when she had first heard that she wasn't sure what they were talking about, but she assumed that Rome was a city of some kind. She almost smiled at the thought but she didn't think she could even get the corners of her mouth to lift. Smiling was foreign to her, it always had been.

Realizing that her mind had strayed from the current situation once again her eyes snapped up to meet the stranger's gaze, if you could call it that. Not being able to see his eyes sent a shiver down her spine as she wondered why he even had the blindfold in the first place. Hadn't he said that he was blind? She had been paying too much attention to his judgment of herself to take in any other important facts. She had been ignorant, she realized, but she brushed the thought away. She had made her decision to fight, but she had to set a few things straight first, she had to take him off of his high horse. Although he couldn't see it she raised her chin higher ever so slightly, pushed her hair out of the way and glared at him dauntlessly, now that she had made her decision.

In a voice that she had grown so used to, she replied strongly: "I'm not stupid, you idiot. What kind of person would challenge someone to a fight if they didn't have a weapon? Clearly I'm armed, and clearly you are too unless you want to be killed, because I will kill you if it comes to that. And get this straight, not fighting you would not make me cowardly. It wouldn't make me any more useless then I am. But you know what this makes you? A random idiot in the woods begging for a fight just to make his life exciting because he has no other damned hobbies, apparently. So shut the hell up about what's wrong with me and I'll fight you, now." She wanted to scream at him, but she managed to keep her voice to an appropriate level of noise. She wanted nothing more then to lunge at him with all of her pent up anger powering her, but she held back for a moment. If she was going to fight him, she had to know what kind of weapon he possessed, first, because she already deducted that he had one, it wasn't that complicated. He would have to make the first move.

Bring it on, I'm ready for this.

Leonardo heard every word of what this girl had said. Right now, she must have felt pain and agony in her brain. Trying to decide whether or not to fight him. He could be a Capitol spy for all she knew. He smiled. But this kind, it was a kind smile. He readied himself and his smile dropped as he noticed she was not attacking. He then realized that she wanted him to make the first move. But she had not realized he had already done so. Using psychological warfare, he had dulled her senses and made angrier. Therefore, her attacks would be sloppy and he could dodge them easier.

Maybe..... he thought, she is the one I have been searching for. But of course, she still has not fought. But she seems to be her. This girl has some sort of attraction that I cannot resist. She bust be the girl I must use. But what if I am wrong? But then again, whoever fights me after I challenge them must be them. This girl has accepted and she seems to be angrier. I must find out. If I defeat her, then she cannot be it. If she defeats me, then she is that girl. Then she can help.... I sure do hope that Duke is correct.

"You know," he said, "there is a simple compound in this. Think of this here situation as an equation. You and I are about to fight. Me plus you equals a fight. A fight equals injuries. Injuries equals defeat. This must make sense to someone of your stature."

Leonardo bowed at her and readied himself once more for the girl to attack him with all her might.

If it seemed that she was uncomfortable with the whole situation, it was worse inside of her head where she was battling the urge to attack him. With the heaviness of her backpack still sitting squarely on her shoulders, she realized that she had other knives as well. She had gained a whole assortment over the years, but at the same time she had lost so many too. Random fights in the woods and adventures in the Districts had caused her to lose many as well, but she had enough to fight. Weapons were not a problem for her. As silently as possible she slipped her backpack off of her shoulders and carefully pulled another knife from it, this one a bit smaller but easier to throw. She had no doubt that he would hear this movement, because he was surely judging everything by sound-- if he was really blind. That she was still unsure of, but she had a bigger problem to deal with. Just as she was waiting for him to make the first move, he was waiting for her. She wanted so badly to attack but there was something in her mind telling her to simply stand there and wait. It was the hardest thing to do, but she was able to restrain herself and keep from lunging at him with her knives.

Another smile played across the stranger's face, and she despised it even more then she despised his more arrogant smile, if that was possible. This smile was different, this smile was.. kind almost, which was ironic seeing as the situation was less then friendly. But that smile left the same split second that he realized that she wasn't going to attack him first. No longer kind- not that it mattered; the kind smile scared her ever so slightly- and his expression was one of deep thought. She could never be sure what was passing through his mind, but then again, she didn't want to know either. Then, suddenly, he spoke.

This must make sense to someone of your stature." She saw his lips moving and speaking those words, but it annoyed her once again that she was unable to read his expression. He bowed at her right then, again obviously hoping that she would attack first, which she would not. She had calmed down just slightly, the elapsed time giving her a moment to gather her thoughts and regain her cool. It was clear to her then (for once, something was clear..) that she had to stall him from fighting. She had to calm down and she had to ignore her anger, because it clouded her mind and muddled her thoughts and made only one thing clear: He had to die. But that wasn't what she had to be thinking. Her anger confused her, it made her more eager to fight him, but it didn't do anything for her skills. When she looked down at her hands she realized that both of them were shaking out of anger and excitement, so she quickly gripped her knives tighter and controlled herself some.

Okay, okay.. Stop him from attacking.. She thought to herself, and there was only one way she knew how to do that. She simply had to just keep talking, asking him questions to make him stop and think instead of say, focusing an attack on her. If she was going to fight, she wanted to be sure that she was as stable-minded as possible instead of driven by anger. Anger had never, ever gotten her anywhere in life.. though it was a fun emotion. Nonetheless, she wasn't here to have fun. She was here to fight and live, like she had always done, and she could not fight well if she was angry. So, she spoke to him instead of attacking. It didn't quite matter what she said, as long as she preoccupied him with something else. "'Someone of your stature'? You say that as if I'm someone who's respected. And clearly I don't get any respect."

And that was actually true.

Leonardo heard every word loud and clear. He made a small smile because he thought this to be a bit amazing. She was ready to fight him. She was getting angry. But she would not attack. He just knew that she would not win. He said:

"Very well."

Leo took out his strings that were tucked away and pulled hard. A puppet fell from the sky. It looked like it was from the Renaissance age. He smirked because he knew the girl would be startled. The face looked demonic, as if it were about to eat her. The clothes were deep dark red and it carried two blades. In truth, it looked like something out of Devil May Cry.

"So," he said, "you wish for me to make the first move. But you think I am unarmed. Well, let us begin."

Leonardo attacked, or made the dummy attack. It moved towards the girl at high speed. How this works is simple. The trees served as pulleys so the dummy could move in certain directions at his command of the fingers. He made the puppet swing at the girl. He could basically hear her breathing now. Before it actually, he made it fake it and whirl behind her. Now it attacked with the long sword in the left hand.

There was a good reason that Myla was most often silent. She wasn't much of a talker, nor could she manipulate people well. Her sister was always the one to do the talking when it was needed, and Myla was the girl in the background, the one there to defend and fight if it was needed. She worked to feed herself and her sister (and nowadays, the Uprising as well), she fought to defend whenever it was needed, and she kept her mouth shut. She wasn't given the gift of eloquence nor was she given the gift of controlling her emotions. She was just as unstable as the next person, though at least she was had skills. She could hunt, she could fight, she could survive. She had survived through all the terrors that life could possibly give her (or most of them, at least) and she would not let this one phase her either. Her talk had been useless; it was time to do what she was truly good at. She could no longer avoid the problem at hand.

Did she really expect her piteous comment to evoke any kind of sympathy from the strange boy? Not really, anyway. For whatever reason he had his mind set on fighting her- what this reason was she wasn't sure of- and he was not going to give up on such a goal. He could not leave it alone, nor could she convince him not to fight. Her words had as much use as a knife with the blade cut off at the handle, though they were far more dangerous. She didn't care how angry she sounded; it was one of the only emotions that she ever let slip into her voice. She didn't try to hide it and she didn't want to. Without her anger, she had nothing to drive her except for plain fear, and that was far more dangerous. And then again, Myla Closson would much rather admit to this stranger that she was angry than to admit that her mind contained even a speck of fright. If she had lost her strength she could at least pretend to be courageous- it was another one of her gifts, after all.

Focus, focus, you idiot.. Myla exclaimed mentally to herself, though the last thought was uncontrollable. She did not mean to scold herself, but it had simply become habit in the past few months. She felt like an idiot, she probably was an idiot, and there was no point in standing in that open clearing and pondering the idea. It was time to fight.

"Very well," her attacker said to her, though Myla expected as much from him. She said nothing back; time for talking was over with. Everything he said pained her, though only as much as a small, annoying headache would cause her. If she responded he would only speak again, and she was tired of hearing his voice. It was like hearing a fly buzzing excitedly around her head, though one that wanted to kill her and kept insulting her..

SHIT! Myla stumbled backwards as an unexpected object dived down randomly from the air not far from where she was standing. Her rapid footsteps away from the strange object went amiss when her left leg caught on her right and she was sent falling backward clumsily. If not for the rock that her head collided with, the fall would not have been a damaging one. Even with a billion negative thoughts of anger flying through her mind, they did not stop Myla from letting out a cry of pain as her head slammed into the solid rock. She wasn't able to think for a long moment, and the only thought that was clearly formed in her mind was pain.

She was immobile for about ten seconds- some of the ten most frightening seconds of her life because he could easily attack her- though she was quick to stand up and prepare herself again once her head was clear of pained thoughts. She gripped onto two knives- one in her right hand and one in her left- as if they were her last link to life. And in this case, they probably were. She was still shocked by the attack of what seemed to be some sort of horrific dummy (though she thought it was another person at first), and she forced herself to focus again. She could spend no time observing the object; this was her time to shine.

"So, you wish for me to make the first move. But you think I am unarmed. Well, let us begin." He said to her in his condescending, controlled way. His words sent Myla into defense; at any moment he was going to attack her. Her blood was coursing through her veins with anxious speed, being pumped by her fear-stricken heart and only making her all the more nervous. Trying her best not to show the fear through her dark eyes, Myla was ready for an attack. Balanced on her feet and prepared to pounce at any second away from the dummy's blades, she glared at the object and it crossed her mind that only a wimp would fight with a dummy instead of fighting himself, but she kept this thought to herself.

Myla flung herself to the side as the object shifted quickly around her, almost as if that was to be it's attack but instead only making a move to fake her out. The thousand fears that had previously run through her mind only escalated as she felt the dummy's sword slice slightly into her right arm. It wasn't damaging enough to hurt her fatally, but it stung painfully where flesh had met with sword. Her warm blood began trickling down her weakened arm after a few seconds, but she still kept the grip on her knife strong and tight.

She pondered how to attack for a split second before deciding to speak, even though it pained her just as much to hear her attacker's voice reply if he did so. "Don't be a coward," she said with a glare, though she doubted that he saw her angry gaze. The malice that tainted her voice was satisfying enough.

She wasn't sure how to go about attacking this stranger, but it was obvious that she had to rid herself of the dummy before she did anything else. As silently and stealthily as possible, she maneuvered around the dummy until her body was away from it's deadly sharp blades and she extended her arms quickly towards it, hoping to sever whatever it was that was keeping the dummy attached to the trees and the boy's control. She was not going to be fighting an inanimate object.

Leo couldn't help but snicker a little at her retort. She had called him a coward when she didn't want to make the first strike. The irony of the world and its people seemed to center around his life.It seemed as if though he could not escape people saying things that contradict what their actions before those words. He sighed as well as she seemed to have a point. He wasn't using his own hands, he was actually using puppets that he had made to fight for him. He knew that she would probably try to destroy them. She didn't have much of a choice. If she didn't, she would have to fight the puppet. But his puppets would never let him down.

He remembered the day he had received the puppet he controlled. His guardians had given it to him for his birthday. But back then it had a happy face, or so they said. But when that dreadful day happened, he attempted to paint it himself. He failed miserably, but he was able to get a painter. The joy he had when the painter told him that it looked like a demon that could kill the entire Capitol with one final strike from its sword. But he still didn't arm the puppet quite correctly. It didn't have the weapons it needed.

He had been able to acquire the weapons from dead wanderers whom just seemed like they were probably the stupidest people in the world. They had let themselves off guard when they saw him. He had then used the puppet to come and bash them all in the head. It was not a death blow, but then Peacekeepers came. In which they ended up killing the wanderers. Come to think of it, why were there so many wanderers in one place? Weren't wanderers supposed to be separate? He struggles to find the truth behind it to this day.

This all had happened two years ago. Back when he was too young to understand much. Bu the now understood more than what the normal human could understand. And he knew that the girl was tiptoeing to try and sever the cords that kept the dummy in play. He laughed at her as she took a swipe for the top. He then could not help it. He fell to the ground laughing so hard he could have cried if he had his eyes. He clutched his stomach as he started to finish. He got up and sighed.

"Listen!" he yelled, "This puppet is not made like others. It's an obscure puppet that you will not defeat easily!"

He got into position and moved his left hand. The dummy's left area of its body swung back. He moved his middle and forefinger sharply. The dummy's left arm came up with the sword. He them made the dummy charge at her with great speed. It swung at her with great speeds. He didn't know if he hit her or not, but it should intimidate the girl for him while he came up with an ingenious plan. His strings were attached to the lower branches and the higher branches. But the strings did not come down on it, they came from the back.

This obscure set up allowed the controller to do many maneuvers such as making the puppet attack by only moving fingers. It took away most of the weight that the puppet had, therefore, making the puppet seem like it was only a doll. It seemed hysterical to Leo that she would try to attack the top area of the dummy. But then he realized that she didn't know his obscure way of using the puppets. He attacked again to be safe. But then he stopped. He had a better idea.

He brought the puppet back to him and stroked its head. The head had a hat with a feather on it. He wasn't sure what color, but he was told the entire outfit was purple. He snickered a little at the girl. He then found the correct words to say. It was all about psychology and perception. He knew that if he got her angry enough, she would be reckless. And she would see him as evil. Therefore, she will attempt to kill him. But she would make many mistakes. If she got close to him, he had her in the trap that would make her pay for her mistakes. Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture started to play in his mind as he said:

"Well, I see you are too weak to fight me. Maybe some other time when you are more useful to me. Oh? What is this? You are attempting to fight? Come closer, I will show you what my puppet really likes to do."

He didn't like what he was doing. It brought him pain as he was messing around with somebody else's mind. But he had to know if she was the one. She had to be. It was the way she acted, the way she smelled. She had to be the one. There was no other way. The final test was if she would attack him. If she could attack a stranger and attempt to kill him or her, then she was the one.

"Come on!" he yelled "Fight me! Don't me a 'coward'!"
