((Hey, would you guys mind if I joined??))
Melanie Traverson
I walked down the road like a sweet little girl, pretending to be lost from her mommy. Of course, that's not really why I was here. Being a spy, I had to keep my eyes open and my ears alert to everything around me, without giving myself away. Lucas had made sure I blended in with the District 4 residents so there was nothing suspicious about me. I slithered through a couple of alleyways, and finally made it to a quiet and lonely street. I carefully started walking down the sidewalk, alert to every small sound. As I got further down the road, I heard voices and realized they were coming from an alleyway not too far away. I slowed my walking and listened to the voices. "I am from...I am a hunter. I am from District 9, the hunting district," a voice said. I smirked. This is what I was looking for. I got closer to the alleyway and slowly entered it, ducking behind a trashcan. I kneeled there, behind the trashcan, listening to the voices. It looks like this would be something to report. The Capitol would definitely like this information. "Why should I die to get you out of here? There's no way I could get you out of here without one of us getting caught. I could be killed or beaten just for not turning you in," the girl was whispering to the man. They're already dead on my terms, I said to myself. Especially now that I know their names. I started to get up from behind the trashcan and sneak back out of the alleyway and onto the street, but as I did, I slipped slightly, making a noise. It was small, but probably still audible for them to hear. Shoot. Maybe they didn't hear it...but I doubt it.
