Ten years in the wilderness. Ten years alone. Ten years away from your own family.
I have been alone for ten years in the woods of Panem. And in no part of that is there anything good. I have scrappy clothes, horribly bad hair, and a bow, spear, and a quiver I had used for hunting. If I could only have those ten years back. Those ten years of misery. I was without my wife and children, and they were without me. The only thing on me that was mine from back home in District 9 was the scar that showed everyone I was not from their district.I had gone nearby to several districts, only to be spotted and forced to flee. But I new I had to live now, a new life. I could still try to find directions, but I couldn't keep wandering. I had to stop, and examine myself.
Some districts were unmistakingly different, like District 9 comparing to District 4. Even in the woods outside of District 4, you could see the water, and foliage I had never seen before, that must be some kind of beach and lake plants. As I climbed a nearby hill to get a better vantage point, I noticed that District 4 could easily be divided in half. On one side, there was a town with mainly one floor buildings that looked makeshift, and houses that looked slightly more planned out. On the other half, all you could see was water, and the occasional island, boat, dock, or fishing device.
I would surely stick out like a soar thumb if I went in there. So, I discretely snuck around to some random empty house. I dug a hole under the fence which nearly took twenty minutes. Although, I was safe. I entered the house, and snatched some kind of everyday work clothes out of the closet. I quickly dressed into it, then headed into town.
It was the time of day when the town was full of buyers, merchants and traders. It was the perfect time to sneak in. I blended in like a fish in the water. Although, I didn't feel like a fish in the water. I felt like a moose in the ocean. Of course nobody would notice me though, right?
