Ardis Leslie Copse

When you first look at Ardis, you notice her hair. It is straight and jet-black and may apear silvery in the moonlight. Her eyes are an eerie hazel, kind of like a cat, only her eyes are a bit darker. Her skin is snow-white and she has scratches all over the place. She has a U shaped scar under her left eye. Her eyebrows are thin and her forehead is small. Her ears are also small. Her lips are naturally pinkish. Since she is not one to wear make-up, her face looks fresh.
As for her body, It is, like I said, scratched. Her shoulders are usually slumped and thin. As you might infer, Ardis is skinny. She is 5"7. Her arms are bruised and thin.
Ardis's legs are long and pretty much one of the only parts of her body that doesn't look so fragile. Her feet are wide. Overall, she looks like a china doll with extended legs. Easy to break (yes, physically speaking) but you have to catch her first. She looks a bit goth if you glance at her. But trust me, she isn't near goth.
Ardis wears simple clothes. T-shirts, sweaters, and jeans. Her favorite shirt is an evergreen T-shirt with "District 7" across it in black. She usually wears it with her faded jeans and brown sweater if chilly. Ardis usually walks barefoot when she can.

Well, first of all, I would like to talk about Ardis's shyness and calm. She is a sweetheart, but she does not easily trust people. She has a way of testing them, trying to figure out whether they are friend or foe. Otherwise, Ardis is timid and serene. She is not such easy prey, but it sometimes depends on her mood. She is also quite the problem-solver.
If Ardis was chosen for the Hunger Games, she would turn agressive. The bad side of her seldom takes over, but it is sure not pretty. At that time, she turns vulnerable. Loses her head. This is because of her brother's gruesome death in the Hunger Games. As I stated, she loses herself completely.
Ardis can also be quite odd. She has frequent mood swings. For example, she starts laughing. Then she starts weeping. Back to laughing. But overall, you can tell that Ardis is, most of the time, a loving girl.

Ardis was born as the youngest child of 4. Her parents were Alyssa C. Copse and Arnold Mason Copse. Ardis was very close to her three brothers,the now 17-year-old Kyle Copse, the would-have-been 17-year-old Mike Triston Copse, and the currently 20-year-old Emerald Copse. Ardis had a cat named Sugar.
Life in District 7 was not the worst, but not the best, either. Kyle and Mr. Copse chopped down trees. Emerald would watch them all. Each day, Kyle and Mr. Copse would bring home berries. Sometimes even edible bark. The family lived in a small little house made of lumber. They were a quiet family, but hardworking.
But one day, when Ardis was 12, Mike was chosen for the Hunger Games. He made it into the last 8, but died when he was stabbed by a career. The family wept for Mike, especially Kyle, who was Mike's twin.
As Ardis grew, she became involved in cutting trees and branches. Emerald set off to marry Elizabeth Martin. This left Kyle and Ardis's parents. Then a tree fell on Mr. Copse, killing him. Rumor has it that he killed himself because of Mike. This, though, is not true. The incident was an accident.
Now the family was down to three. Kyle helped the family with their money. He cut down trees and built houses, bringing food home for Ardis and Mrs. Copse. Currently, Mrs. Copse is ill.

If I were to pick a theme song for Ardis, I would pick 'Safe and Sound' by Taylor Swift and Civil Wars.
