Reverie - District 8

Reverie has white blonde hair that reaches to her mid back. It has brown streaks of colour throughout it and is slightly wavy. Her skin is smooth and sunkissed. Ren's eyes are a beautiful stormy blue (gray-blue) and have white flecks randomly dispersed through them. Her smile is white and most of her teeth are straight. Ren's lips are a very pale pink.

Ren is shorter than then the average girl of her age, and built smaller as well. She is lightweighted, being about 15 pounds lighter than she should be at her age, but that is due to her size. Ren is a very fast runner, and has good reflexes. Her left wrist is permenately damaged, because it was broken and never healed correctly. It causes her pain if she uses it too much.

Reverie is considered beautiful by most.

Reverie is a very independent and stubborn girl who does not like to listen to people. She likes to take risks and is constantly getting in trouble. She doesnt like her name, and usually goes by "Ren". She is more of a tomboy than a girly girl, but enjoys wearig a simple dress from time to time. The girl hates her district and her main dream is to travel, or even just to see a living tree. She is talented at sewing, as a lot of her district is, but she doesn't want to do that for her entire life. Ren would be perfectly fine with being selected as a tribute.

Reverie is not very good at making friends. Her sarcasm is seen as rude or mean and not a lot of people like her attitude. She spends a lot of her time alone, writing poetry or sketching images of nature that she remembers seeing from watching the Games. Ren loves animals, though she rarely sees any.

When she is angry, she tends to explode. She goes into a fit of yelling and sometimes she uses violence. This is another flaw that she hates about herself. The only thing the she finds good about herself, is her ability to be absolutely nice to children. She can not stand to see a child sad or hurt, and tries anything to get their spirits up.

Reverie was a quiet child growing up, but then her intelligence grew and she developed certain opinions about things. That led to her current personality. Her parents constantly hate her and she hates them in return.

Overall, Reverie is often described as one that should be seen and not heard, since her attitude is shunned and her beauty is one of the only things that is good about her, so the adults say. She completely disagrees with this, and thinks that adults are judgemental and a waste of time. She hates her own parents, as they are the most judgemental of all. She is very determined to leave her district, even if that means becoming a tribute. Ren often has the thought of volenteering to be a tribute, though she has obviously never gone through with it.

Ren was born into District 8. She has two older sisters who are 'perfect' in her parents eyes. Her family is one of the more wealthy families, owning a small clothing store. Ren has worked at the store since she was 8, and began sewing. She is often overlooked or ignored by everyone in her family.

Ren's childhood was basically just her parents yelling at her because she wasn't like her sisters. She quickly grew to resent and hate them. Her sisters would often pick on her and tell her that she wasn't good enough and never would be.

When she was 13, a group of boys thought that they'd mess with her. They were a bit older than her, and threatened to hurt her if she didnt steal from her family's store. She refused, not wanting to get punished from her parents, and they broke her left wrist. Ren never told her parents, so the wound never got treated by medical attention.

One of the events in her life that made her snap into a somewhat rebellious attitude, was her best friend being killed by a peacekeeper for breaking some stupid rule. Ren watched her friend die, and vowed to never let the peacekeepers forget her. She constantly played tricks on them and even hurt a couple of them. She still tries to make them angry whenever she can.
