Aleksander Dobschwinn (District 7)

Aleksander's light brown eyes become his most noticeable attribute in the sunlight. They sit between his oddly long eyelashes that have often been compared to a woman's. A bushy yet somewhat tamed pair of eyebrows sit atop his eyebrow bone which is quite defined. Although they do not directly effect his charming good looks, they add a questionable feature that often has a person's gaze focused on them. A continued examination of his face reveals a small amount of light brown freckles that stain the bags under his eyes, as well as his hollow cheeks. Aleksander's small nose also acts as a defining feature concerning his face. To most people who know him, it signifies his relationship to his father, who also has a small nose. The final feature of his face lies along his lips and cheeks. The light pink lips give off a slightly feminine feature to his face, but often times is countered by the facial hair that has recently began to grow along his jawline and prominent dimple that appears towards the left of his smile.

Aleksander, the shortest of the Dobschwinn siblings, stands at a height of five feet, ten inches. Unlike the rest of his family members, Aleks' body type is less muscular. A direct result of his straying from heavy lifting that his brothers perform. What Aleksander lacks in size, he makes up for with his lean musculature. He may not appear as though he is strong, but Aleksander is lean and fast. The toned arms he maintains have been worked through his hobby of woodcarving he developed. The excessive use of his hands and arm muscles in handling hard wood and sharp metal can be seen by how calloused his hands are. Aleksander's mother often compares it to sand paper.

Clothing has been a huge issue for Aleksander. His lean body type, when compared to his brothers and father, prevents him from using their old clothes. However, thanks to his mother and her ability to size an outfit perfectly, Aleksander has been fitted into his family member's outfits. Often times he wears a pair of brown shorts and a green or black short sleeved shirt with a normal pair of brown boots.

The final significant aspect of Aleksander Dobschwinn, is his light brown hair. Throughout the colder months of the year, Aleksander allows his hair to grow long enough that his forehead may be covered completely. The back of his hair grows long enough to reach the collar of his t-shirt. Often times Aleksander styles his hair slightly by using water. All he does is slide his hand through his bangs and allows them to dry giving off a suave and handsome look. As the warmer months approach, Aleksander shaves his head completely, allowing his hair to progressively grow longer throughout the duration of the warm weather.

When asked to describe Aleksander's personality, most of his classmates label him as indifferent. When it comes to appearance, Aleksander truly portrays this characteristic. Being the attractive young man that he is, one would expect him to be vain and worry excessively over his looks, but this could not be more wrong. This indifference towards his appearance flows into his personality, especially when concerned with the relationships he has formed.

Being that Aleksander has never been in a relationship with a woman, his only other meaningful relationship besides his parents lies with his best friend Nikolai. It is in his presence that Aleksander's true nature can be seen. Behind his indifferent facade, Aleksander dreams of a life working as a wood carver. He even dreams of his future as a father and how he would show his children love and allow them to pursue whatever their dreams may hold. Through these revelations to his best friend, Aleksander's loving and open-minded nature shine through.

Aleksander's views on being open-minded and accepting stems from his family's lack of them. To his father, wood carving is something feminine that a woman should take care of. He often times pesters Aleks for his hobby and pushes him to follow in his own foot steps as a masculine wood cutter. Through this experience with his father, Aleksander's strength shines. Instead of succumbing to some never ending cycle of disapproval throughout the Dobschwinn family, Aleks envisions a time in his life where he can provide his children with the life they want. His idealistic inclinations stand out through this and allow him to fill the roll of the dreamer.

In examining less significant features of his personality, we see that Aleksander is a boy without fire. He lacks any anger, with the most anger he's ever experienced being when he slammed the door in his father's face. However, the flames of anger are replaced by his sensitivity and compassion shown towards his family members, close friend, and those who allow him to reveal his true nature.

Aleksander's family consists of his parents Matilda and Byron Dobschwinn, and his three older brothers. The eldest of his brothers is twenty three years old, while his two other brothers are both twins at the age of nineteen. Aleksander's birth signified an extremely pivotal moment in the Dobschwinn family. The entire pregnancy proved to be very harmful for his mother. When it seemed as though they had lost hope, Aleksander and his mother made it through and eventually recovered.

The years following Aleksander's birth were filled with joy. This extreme cheerfulness continued throughout his childhood where he received love and shared a great connection with each member of his family. It wasn't until Aleksander reached the age of eleven that the relationships between himself and his father began to suffer. At that point in his life, Aleksander's father had already began to push him in the direction of wood cutting. But Aleksander's wood carving ability had just surfaced and consumed any thought he had of following in his father's foot steps. Through these moments, Aleksander began to push away from others and his father. Although he still loved him, Aleksander could no longer forgive him due to his extreme efforts in cutting him off from his passion.

By the age of thirteen, Aleksander met his best friend Nikolai. They first found each other through school as they discussed their shared interest in wood carving. From that moment on, Nikolai became one of Aleksander's supportive relationships. Nikolai was the best friend who shared with him the same passion. In a way, Nikolai became the salvation Aleksander sought after in response to the issues he faced at home. This feeling of inadequacy and being forced into dropping his passion continued throughout his teenage years, and at the age of sixteen, he continues to seek the acceptance of his family.
