Personality:
Nelliel has a heart shaped face that brings out the childness features in her. Then comes her tired looking eyes, the color of blue with dark bags that linger beneath them due to lack of sleep. It's like you can see the sadness in them but theres usually a glimmer there too. As if hope lies there too. Her arched eyebrows are neatly shaped as if Nelliel had plucked them herself, which is out of the ordinary since she doesn't contain that type of tool at home. It's just a natural thing. On her left eye (your right), she has a small wart there just on the corner of her eye, thankfully not grotesque.
The brunette hair that rests upon her head is a mess of sorts. She tries to keep the strands of hair out of her face, so that she can look as orderly as possible. If her hair were to be down, she could possibly get herself caught into the woven machine which is something that nobody would want to experience. But if her hair were to be ever worn down, it would just slightly fall past her shoulders, down to mid-back. Nelliel loved it long for if she were to ever get 'fancy', she can do something special with her hair. Like an elegant bun or as close to elegant she can get to.
And her lips. Those plush, pale of a red lips that always seem to make her just a bit more beautiful. They were always neutral, not in a smile nor a frown. Just.. there. There was nothing to smile about in District 8, or in any of the districts! The Hunger Games weren't anything to be happy about but then again, she was still alive and never has her name been called. And that's nothing to frown about either! Then comes her skin. Somehow pale, it seems like she could perhaps glow in the night. But that's foolish and overdramatic. No human can possibly glow like that.
Her clothes, on average are fairly okay. If there were any leftovers at where she worked as a weaver, Nelliel would take time as to do a little something-something for herself and younger brother so that they wouldn't look like they were the poorest in the district, which most likey they weren't. And to keep them war during those awful winter nights that kept them chattering throughout their sleep.
She's about as clean as she can get. She takes a shower every two days or so since water is so hard to find. Nelliel then stands at a height of five feet, two inches. Not very tall for a girl but who cares right? Being that height, she is about 115 pounds. Not much is on her but the great thing about being so skinny, is having the ability to run swiftly and.. FAST. She doesn't have much muscle since she hasn't done any physical labor but being stealthy and quick is just as good.
According to her parents and others for that matter, Nelliel can be kind of stubborn. It's difficult to change her attitude towards anything. If she wants to work longer hours or stay after school, no one tries to talk her out of it. It'll just be the same as if talking to a brick wall. Pointless and Stupid. She won't take no for an answer and if she does.. Hah. Yeah right, like that'll ever happen.History:
Nelliel is also self-reliant. She doesn't need to depend on people for her needs. If she herself is hungry, then she herself should go maintain her hunger by cooking something up or stealing it from somewhere. People always thought she only cared for herself, that she was greedy but Nelliel was just the opposite. Her parents had enough for themselves, her younger brother Jedediah had his parents and sister. She never wanted her parents to worry about her and so being self-reliant, that was her way of saying 'I got this.' Never needing any help. When someone did offer help, she would take it to be kind but just give it to her family, not herself. If she didn't earn it, she wouldn't take it. Simple as that.
Nelliel can be kind and a smile can sometimes appear on her face, it's not like it's never there. She would help someone in need if they truly did need it. Wouldn't ever turn her back against someone who ever helped her, unless she had a reason to. But don't mistake this kindness because she can be as quick as to treat you otherwise if you were to ever try to hurt her in any physical or mental way. And when she becomes nervous, she tends to chew off her fingernails. Bad habit? Yes, but it's something that can't easily be tamed.
On the 20th of November at 5:25 a.m., a cry was able to be heard and then the face that claimed the name Nelliel Callista Oganes was revealed. The creators, well known as the parents of the child were Ludovic Kane and Elise Oganes. The Doctor had told Elise and Ludovic that the baby was most likely a boy because of the belly so high up on her abdomen. He had been expecting that throughout her whole pregnancy when she had time to see him. It was then Elise had decided on the name Nel. Why? Because that was the name of the baby she had lost the first time due to being underfed. During Elise's first pregnancy, she had to take time off of being a teacher and her husband Ludovic had made barely enough cash for himself. He had given up some of his meal to add to hers but it just wasn't enough.. She and her baby craved more but soon it came down to her having a miscarriage.. She was in misery until she knew that she was pregnant again; she knew this was her second chance. This time Elise didn't dare take off work, didn't dare make the same damn mistakes she had chosen previously. This was going to be her first child and no one was going to take this special moment away from her.Codeword: Odair
And that's when it came as a surprise that Elise and Ludovic had a baby girl instead of a baby boy. They hadn't really thought of a girl's name but Elise had decided on Nelliel. To never forget about the first baby she and Ludovic created. Ludovic loved it and that was the creation of Nelliel's first name. Elise didn't want Nelliel having her father's last name. Reasons were unknown. And that's how Nelliel got stuck with having Oganes for a last name. The infant had blanket after blanket wrapped around the small body. Her face was covered as well, only a small portion open just enough for Nelliel to breath through. It was because of the fumes throughout the district. It would've been sensitive to the infant's nose. Could've caused grave danger. And mother wasn't going to risk it. As soon as Nelliel was brought home, all went back to normal. Except for Elise returning to work. How could she? Leaving this infant by herself would be child abuse. They were facing hard times as soon as mother soon had to get a couple of years off of work to take care of me. But Ludovic stepped up as the man and got another job to support his wife and first born. And when mother told her this after she had grown up, Nelliel then became self-reliant.
Yeah times were hard but Ludovic hadn't once complained about having a two jobs. Mother of course felt bad for him but this was for Nelliel's sake. Elise had trust issues so leaving Nelliel with someone else was out of the question. As a year went by and Nelliel began taking her first steps, hell went loose. The toddler would knock down everything in sight and throw temper tantrums. Her parent's were smart enough not to give Nelliel everything she wanted to tone down the tantrums as they would progress even more as her years went by. The good thing about Nelliel was was that after crying for so long, she would fall into a deep sleep. Lasted probably about longer than a toddler should sleep but it was worth it for her parents. So they would'nt have to deal with her crying much.
As she neared the age of going to school, five years old, for kindergarden, Elise hesitated. She didn't want her child to go somewhere where her mind could be corrupted, where she would be tortured. She was a playful companion though. She had a stuffed teddy bear that she brought everywhere with her and yes, even her first day at school. After her first day of school, she had ran back to her mother who awaited to toddler by the front. Nelliel grabbed onto her leg and cried. Her first day had been far worse then she would've expected. The boys pulled on her hair because she had three ponytails, two centered in the front and one positioned in the lower back of my head. The girls ignored Nell and just laughed at everything the boys did. Of course they would do it when the teacher would have to excuse herself from class. The boys had finished as soon as the teacher waltzed right back in. Nell thought it was all over from there but then someone stole Mr. Ruffles, her favorite teddy bear that daddy gave her. Nobody liked me, she guessed.
Years went by and Jedediah was born. Nelliel was at the age of ten. That's the year Ludovic had been caring more about Jedediah then herself. Yes, she loved her new baby brother more and more, He was just that lovable but that's when her love for her father had gone down the drain. He barely had time for her anymore, he didn't treat with love. He sometimes would hit her if she messed anything up. And she means anything. And it wasn't until the fifth grade when Nelliel began beating up on kids that use to beat on her. Yes, she was smaller than the average girls but that didn't mean she couldn't fight. Girls always gossiped about her, boys picked on her and Nell just had enough. With them and her dad. And that's when in the fifth grade, Nell decide to respond back. She had gotten into loads of trouble after she began getting back at the kids but was it really her fault? Wasn't four years enough to make her finally break? And maybe to gain a bit of attention from her father? Nelliel had thought so.
It's not like her parent weren't unaware of everything going on but they just tried to dismiss the issue. Her father barely cared and Nellied barely did too. And that's when Nelliel decided to confront her mom about it."Why? Why didn't you ever act like a mother and tried to help with my bullies? Did you want me to get in trouble with dad, mom?" Her mother had responded with a simple "We wanted you to be tough for when you were 12.."
That's when Nelliel learned about the Hunger Games. She wasn't twelve just yet but her mother had decided to speak to her all about it. About the two tributes, about the reapings. So that's why they had to go to this things when one girl and guy would be called? She had just assumed that it was because they were getting celebrated. She never watched the actual fighting since they didn't own a television and they wouldn't stay at the reaping either. It all made sense now.. But that's when Nell began her bad habits of chewing off her nails. She never in a millions years would want to be called for that sort of thing. When she reached twelve, her fear for death had risen. She hadn't explored life yet. She wanted to make herself famous, to go explore the capital everyone's always talking about but not for being in The Hunger Games. That was something she tried to avoid. It's been three years and she hasn't once been called. And that's the way she'd like it.
